Anyone switch from UE DVD's to BluRay?

Which, if any, of the Bond movies have you bought YET AGAIN on Blu Ray? Most reviews I have read seem to say if you have the Ultimate Edition, it isn't worth the money to buy the Blu Ray version. Anyone do it anyway and really notice a difference?

    Anyone who thinks it's not worth the money probably doesn't either have a big enough TV or has no discerning eye towards video quality.

    Here's some numbers comparing lines of resolution:
    VHS: 250
    DVD: 480
    Blu-Ray: 1080

    That's a huge difference in sharpness. Try freezeframing and reading documents or computer monitors from a scene in a movie... chances are you'll see a blurry mess on DVD but the clarity will be there in BluRay. Film is estimated to be faithfully recreated at around 4k lines of resolution, but since most people don't have setups the size of a movie theater screen, I doubt we'll ever see a high-def format that goes that high.

    ive rebought on bluray, liscence to kill, casino royale, quantum of solace, thunderball, and die another day. thinking of buying dr. no, from russia with love, and goldeneye- if it ever comes out X-( . im afraid its become almost an addiction on my part, the clarity is breathtaking and the extras are really cool.

    if anyone is thinking of converting you wont be dissapointed. -{

    I've purchased all of them & they look & sound incredible. The Connery & Moore movies look the best which is not surprising given they are older movies. Moonraker, in particular, looks fantastic. The Brosnan movies, The World Is Not Enough & Die Another Day, look sharper but the difference is less noticeable since we already had good DVD transfers of those movies. Both of the Craig movies also look great on Blu-ray.

    If someone hasn't noticed a difference in the movies, they are either not watching them on an HDTV or are just sitting too far away from the screen to notice a difference. The bigger your TV screen, the more you will notice it.

    While From Russia With Love is a personal favorite, I would go with Dr. No. The scenery of Jamaica & the Caribbean gives it the visual edge. Oh, & by the way, this recommendation has nothing to do with my screen name. :))

    What size Plasma would you recommend for BluRay then? Minimal.
