Great idea for a thread Rick; as a sci-fi fan, there are a few that I found particularly memorable:
Blade Runner, one of the last great painted posters
There are a lot of great posters from 2001: A Space Odyssey, but this is probably the most iconic
This poster for Forbidden Planet is somewhat misleading but still another classic image
And, in a slightly different vein, no discussion of classic movie posters would be complete without a sampling from Sergio Leone's classic Spaghetti Westerns:
Cool thread -- but to be on the safe side, in regards to our agreement with MGM/EON. Please don't post any official Bond merchandise. Be it posters, movie grabs, or whatever. We are still abiding by our contract not to post 'em. But links are fine.
I'll post this trilogy of Italian crime flicks since just I spent the weekend marathoning them all. Awesome car crashes, multiple double crosses, uber Euro Babes, and ferocious moustaches are still fresh in my head. (what a great few days!)
(titled "Manhunt" on my dvd) With both Lucianna Paluzzi and Adolfo Celi. An awesome Polizzeschi film.

All three directed by Fernando Di Leo and highly recommended. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernando_Di_Leo
