The physique for Bond 23

Hi Guys,
In the first 2 DC Bond films we have seen 2 quite different characters played, as they explained they wanted the character to grow and become more mature as the movies have gone by. I for one was quite dissapointed to see DC looking like something from a Marvel comic in casino royale. It was a very unneccessary add to the movie, apparently to make him look like 'he could kill someone' I for one thought it was a case of distasteful hollywood fever rubbing off on one of our favourite characters. I was however pleased to see that they had resorted a lot more to the books for QoS and he was looking a lot more athletic and slim rather than like a gym monkey. I personally would rather see them have DC partaking in more fight training and boot camps in preperations for his roles rather that just hammering the weights, more realistic in my view.

Here here! That's all that ever matters about a woman anyway, right? So what if she has the acting chops of a soggy bowler hat.
Yes, I agree - I think he really suited the more 'refined' version in QoS, but his beefcake image I believe was deliberate on CR, (like other's have said in this thread.) But his now more practical physique is much more 'maintainable' too.
Presicely! Hear, hear ...
Urgh!! - Personally I prefered the CR build. - But thats cause thats how I want to be built! Call me biased, but I find it inspirational! Bond is a character who has to do a lot of fighting, endurance and running around, either the CR or QoS look can work. - It was one of the few drastic things that did work in QoS.
As for general comments, lets have a story that adds up, a balance of character and action, some memorable but classy humour, strong, intelligent and sexy women. - AND - the person who did the editing and cutting on QoS's action scenes is confirmed replaced. (After they get tied to a table and walloped with a spanking paddle till they beg forgiveness for what they did!) :v
I'm not sure of the differences in the two movies but after CR I remember reading that his neck size was 16.25, jacket a 42 and sleeve length 33. Don't know where I got it but I remember the numbers.
I also read in a men's fitness magazine within the last year or so(article comparing Craig's physique to Gerard Butler's from 3000) where Craig's weight was listed at 172 pounds. Just guessing on his waist size but I would put him around a 32 waist with maybe a 32 inseam.
I read there was a 20 pound drop, but I don't recall for sure.
Turns out they have to be low fat DIET shakes.
Oh yeah, they are meant to REPLACE the three to four meals I've been eating every day.

I'm lactose intolerant; that diet would pose a bit of a problem for me.......
Waist Disposal by Briffa is a book you should check out, secretagent. Look it up on amazon.
I've been doing some stretching exercises with fairly small dumbells, sort of Candian Mountie excercies, not bad, tones things up.

We all have our opinions and differences as to what "type" would constitute a proper James Bond. While the general public have accepted a shorter blond Bond, I don't believe in this day and age they would accept an out of shape looking Bond.
Thought Craig's physique in QOS was better than the rather Bloated ( too muscular) form he had in CR, If reports are true that the Bond producers think he's lost too much weight doing C&A, They want him to put a stone back on But looking at the new longer trailer for C&A i think he suits the slimmer look , so would hope he Keeps it.
Not sure that I'd class his CR physique as 'bloated' tbh. I actually prefer the CR look that Craig achieved & thought that both the more casual & the more formal clothing sat well on him. He's certainly got good genetics that give him a good frame that seems to enable him to bulk up or cut back. Lucky sod!!

Mind you, Craig looked alright in that pic with him and Rachel going thru the airport this week.

But hey, if I look older when a few stone comes off, I'll just have some fun getting it back on again... )

Same goes for us women too... there is a fine line between looking slender and youthful/ and thin and haggard - it's why these too thin (maturer) ladies get fillers in their face, just like TP says... fills out the wrinkles ) .... Weird if you ask me...
