Casino Royale leather jacket

I am thinking about getting one of magnoli clothiers.com/ has anyone in the UK had any experience with these people or the jacket.

I have a few questions
1, is the original colour dark brown or black?
2, how do I persuade my wife to let me buy this jacket, now that’s the hard one?

    Yeah I have one. It's made by magnoli clothiers but I got it from southbeachleather.com they have all sorts of film jackets etc. Its perfect! If I get time over weekend I'll try and post a pic if you want?

    Indy did a nice job with this piece...just make sure the brown is a chocalate brown, which is quite dark, and that it is lamb skin.

    I have one as well from Magnoli, and it's great! You can also check out the reviews on the site.

    Forgive me for asking but why would southbeachleather.com be selling the Magnoli jacket for less than half the price that he gets for it?

    Good question but it looks like that those jackets are not made to measure. But still a great deal.

    It's one great jacket; amazing at the price, but if your wife decides what you wear, then don't buy it and turn in your Walther and Aston, as well. :))

    I think I am in with a good chance now as I have just got my wife a TV/dvd for the kitchen! still need advice from anyone in the UK with this Jacket.

    That pic actually makes the leather look much darker and thicker than it really is. But it's clearly a close copy of the screen version. :)

    That's why I question it coming from Magnoli through SBL. SBL isn't known for their honesty in advertising over on the filmjackets forum. I'm not questioning UpyJedi, just what he was told by SBL.

    I'd question the validity of the jacket coming from Magnoli as well...doesn't have Magnoli's tag, and the zipper pulls look different...

    It doesn't seem to have the magnoli tag. But looking at the SBL and magnoli pics, there isn't any difference that i can see.
    Is it possible that magnoli and SBL have em made at the same place and then labels are added later? Whatever it is I'm really happy with mine and payed a fraction of magnoli's price!-{

    When I first started this topic all I wanted to know was, if any UK members have the Royale Jacket be it Magnolia or SBL and if the Jacket was any good. Any way thanks UpyJedi! for your help.

    In the case of this jacket it may well be worth it to purchase through Magnoli because it will be made-to-measure. This style of jacket won't look particularly good if its oversized or too long on you.

    Your welcome Guss.......I think thats the difference between the two prices. I ordered a small. I'm a 40" chest and it fits fine with a tiny bit of room left. length wize, they did actually ask how tall I was, it falls to my waist, just right!

    South Beach Leather has nothing to do with Magnoli Clothiers and do not resell our jackets at all. I'm not sure if there is a misunderstanding with them or if they are making false claims, but all our jackets have the Magnoli Clothiers label located inside at the neck.

    I don't know how these things work but is it possible they have them made at the same place you guys do? You have them tailored and they get a bunch of s/m/l?
    Mine didn't have a magnoli label.

    No, none of our jackets are sold to other companies without labels. And none of our jackets are made in "standard" sizes.
