Were you satisfied with the film adaptations of DN, FRWL, GF & TB?

Or do you think they're not a patch on the novels they're based on? I like the first four Bond films but I really can't compare and contrast the films and the novels because I haven't read Dr No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger and Thunderball yet.

The first four Bond films are fairly close to the books. Perhaps the closest of any films in the series. They probably contain 70% of what Fleming wrote. Which isn't bad, when some of the films bare only the title of the book, a character's name and nothing else. My personal favourite is FRWL. Red Grant is one of the best villains/henchmen in the series.
