Comparison between Zorin and Necros deaths

I got the idea for this topic from my last post in Violence in AVTAK thread.

Considering the way that Zorin and Necros die I wonder if we were given in TLD what we could have had in AVTAK just one movie previously: A villian pleading for his life.

You know how Necros cries "No! Please!" but Bond relentlessly cuts his laces so Necros plunges from the plane? Sometimes I've wondered whether Zorin could have said something similar before Mortner calls out to him and he falls but Bond naturally wouldn't listen to him any more than he does to Necros. Of course Zorin's pleas by contrast would probably have been "Help me! Please!" but what do you think of this idea?

Strictly speaking I'm not surprised they didn't do it this way because I suspect that Zorin would be too maniacally proud due to his psychotic ego to stoop so low as to plead for his life. Anyway what are your opinions?

    The closest thing I've ever seen to Christopher Walken begging in a movie was in Batman Returns. Max Shreck (Walken) begged for his son's life when The Penguin threatened to kill him. And later on when Catwoman threatened to kill Shreck, he tried to cut a deal with her. Max offered her money and jewels in exchange for his life.

    "I admire your luck, Mister?..." "Bond, James Bond."

    I've always thought that Zorin's death was classic---one of the best and greatest aspects of Walken's very good performance: that moment, as he begins to slip, and realizes he's about to die...he laughs B-) Don't know if it was scripted that way...but in a film I often decry, it's a wonderful moment.

    So...let it never be said that I never toss a compliment in AVTAK's direction -{

    Necros' death was quite good...except for the reused scream... :#

    You know you've just reminded me of something else I thought of when I first watched AVTAK. That is a marvellously memorable moment and it had quite an impression upon me.

    I wonder how many others would agree with me but I interpreted that laugh as a laugh of triumph. Let me explain. You recall how Zorin was struggling until Mortner called out his name and then he laughed? I thought Zorin thought for a moment that he was going to miraculously save himself. That he was exerting all his efforts into fighting the pull of gravity to cling to and scramble back up onto the structure. Perhaps hearing Mortner gave him a surge of adrenaline to boost his confidence. He looks like he's starting to climb up to get back at Bond when he slips, says "Awk" and realizes to his horror that he's not going to make it after all. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
