Has anyone seen this yet http://www.amazon.com/Pre-painted-Statue-Collectable-Action-Figure/dp/369445909X/ref=sr_1_24?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1252106498&sr=1-24

I must say that it is a pretty good statue thought some of the details are not correct to the end scene of Casino Royale, for instance Bond has a vest on under his jacket, and the details on the H&K UMP9 machine gun are off by about 100 miles from how the gun looks on screen. Also $157.00 seems to be a little steep to pay for something like this.

What do you think ?

I believe they're going for the "Quantum" one-sheet pose of Bond emerging over the top of the rocky hillside with the rifle in hand. From the pose and base that the figure is standing on, it doesn't look like the "Casino Royale" look. This is the shot I'm thinking of -

You're right about the H&K though - they could have done much better.

    Kind regards,
    Craig

Compared to some out there, that's really not bad at all.

I negotiated with Yiwu Sandu(the company that makes it) for months, even made a trip to Hong Kong to try to get these out to the public(through ebay), but they didn't know how to do business. Paypal flagged their company as suspicious(since it's Chinese?) and they wouldn't take credit...long story short, problems galore. Anyway, found this sculpt that's even better and depicts Craig in the superior CR. I believe the sculptor is Chris Wooten.

I wish I knew more. I talked to the sculptor and he referred me to model-citizens.org to get information on it. But they have yet to activate my account. I believe it is a private commission for Dark Carnival models but their site requires a password. You can also try http://members.fortunecity.com/bucwheat/jb/bond.htm . He might have some more information. Chris Wooten told me that it is 13 inches tall(slightly bigger than 1:6). I'll try to keep you updated.
