What should have happened!

In the end of DAD Bond never got his 00 back. M made him work for it again. In the start of CR he killed Dryden's man and him. So he got his 00 status. And the whole time travel thing about starting again wouldn't happen!

That actually works well. It fits, and then we would have had CR with Brosnan.

Craig is sooooooooooooooooo much better than Brosnan.
Brosnan's career went so donw hill after Bond (Mamma Mia voted worsted actor for this)!

so, what do you want to say with this comment?

    - Craig is better than Bosnan because his career did not go downhill after Bond (as far as I know, Craig is not finished with Bond)
    - An acting career is on the bottom, when the actor is voted to be worst actor?? (Do you listen to critics)

    - How would you rate movies like "The Tomas Crown affair" or "After the sunset" commercially and carrer-wise?
    - Would you think, that PB got a bad pay because some people did not like Mamma Mia?
    - Would PB care more about his paycheck than about the opinion of some?
    - What where the box office results of Mamma Mia? Was it a flop?

    Ah, and 4 more questions:
    - How many years took it SC to make a good movie after he retired from Bond? 20 years, 25? 30?
    - Would you say, that his carrer went downwards after Bond because his movies have not been successful?
    - Doesn't it generally apply to a former actor to be difficult, after being nailed to a certain role for years by the audience to establish a new reputation outside of this role?
How many good movies have you seen from TD after LTK?

so many questions, I am confused ?:)

I wouldn't say Brosnan's career or acting went down hill. I've seen him in two recent movies post-Bond that were excellent. Check out The Greatest or Seraphim Falls to see Brosnan really act. He's very good.

Brozzer's work in Seraphim Falls is top-notch. I respect him as an actor; always have, always will.

Brosnan had at least two more Bond films in him after DUD. They shouldn't have got rid of him.

Imo I think PB looked to old in dad so I for one was glad that it was his final one I only wish Sir Rog had stepped down earlier because although he is my favorite Bond Idid tend to cring when his leading ladies were young enough to be his grandaughters.

Please let's not resurrect the old "Reboot" debate. It was dealt with briefly and satisfactorily in CR, let's just enjoy the films now.

Seraphim Falls was brilliant. Off topic, I know, but I was a little confused at the very end with the lady in the desert, selling her wears... It reminded my of Papillion with Steve McQueen, it all goes a little off the wall in some scenes.

Had Pierce Brosnan stayed on for one or two more films, the next film should've took place after the events of DAD in where Bond resigned from the Service after the way they treated him at the beginning of the last film.

Yeah, they went heavily into metaphors in the third act. I've now seen it like four times (showing it to different family/friends), and it gets more clear with repeat viewings. Great stuff.

Indeed. Once I saw the name of Wes Studi's character things clicked even more. Brosnan and Neeson were perfect in that.

If you liked Brosnan in that, I recommend the film The Greatest. It's a bit somber, but Brosnan pulls off family drama perfectly.

I know this is quite off topic to the post title and it doesn't make any difference either way, but I do feel somehow compelled to add my very loud "hear hear" to Brossa's performance in Seraphim Falls.
IMO it was nothing short of fantastic.
    I love that film.
As for Mamma Mia, remember it was/is a musical and as such a bit of fun. Again, well done PB you kick ass post-Bond. Ooh weird. PB is both post-Bond and Pierce Brosnan.
