Ok, saw this on the wall of my local Aston dealer...thought members might be interested.
Follow up to the above. I believe the plates were made up for the premier showing of QOS and placed onto a DBS, which was used for display purposes. If anyone one is interested I'll try and find out where they were made.
i know i'm being picky, but the blue ends are incorrect.
apologies for being a smartarse.
In what way. I don't have a high res picture of the back of the QOS DBS to compare. The front plate is hanging in the showroom where as the rear plate was hanging up in the service dept some two mile appart.
Like said, these plates were especially made for Aston dealers to put on a DBS. They were not (supposed to be ?) for sale, yet my local dealer was kind enough to part with a set
Does anyone have a pic of the rear plates taken from the movie car, without me haveing to watch the film again. The front plate however is as one would expect.
Apart from being in the movie, does the reg stand for anything in particular?
yeah, the left blue bar features the 12 gold stars of the EU above a white letter I for Italy.
the right blue bar has a number 08 inside a circle, which is the year of registration. below the is a white letters MI, the region (or provincial) indicator for Milano.
the numbers 72 GH3LD are fictional as italian plates are meant to be in a 'AAA 111 AA' format.

Cool. Thanks.
Dont wait for your ship to come in. Swim out and meet the bloody thing.
Gotcha. Just a minor detail change required to match the front which will be a standard dimension blue strip. The front plate in the Aston showroom is as it should be. Thanks Simon.
Guys, anyone know the name of the font used. I've sourced a supplier who has sent me a draft, were looking at the right hand set here, ignor the left. The font used isn't correct but I'm working on it, any help would be appreciated. However we don't want this to turn into a topic of its own

There you go - a long time after the request, but hey - this is the car

on the rear plate, the blue ends are roughly the same size as on the front plate, and there should be white around them.
hope that makes sense.
obviously i've been looking a bit obsessively close in the past.
