Please sly give it up Rocky Balboa was fine. It finnished the series well. Rambo well o.k. it was watchable but not great, but making another and turning it into a preadator rip off with a 22 year old side kick? come on! Stop just stop.

Oh dear. I thought Rambo wrapped the films up nicely. It wasn't a great film, but had some brilliant moments, but was quite possibly the most brutal film I've seen.
I liked that he finally went home and the story was complete.

If they can make numerous spidey and batman sequels, then why not Rambo? I love that Sly has returned. Go Rambo!

The script sounds to have elements of Universal Soldier and The Most Dangerous Game, and I'd be pumped to see something like that.

Not all of us think it's madness. ;) I thought the last one was a blast.

I agree. :D While it wouldn't win any Oscars or make any 'best film' lists, it was a superbly fun film which remains among the most brutal films I've ever seen, and in a great way. :D

yeah I'll agree the last one was fun and very bloody, but going sci-fi kinda goes against the rules of it's own universe. Even thought the others were over the top they at least kept things just this side of unbeliveable.

I take it Stallone's attempt to revive his career with Rocky VI and Rambo IV didn't work? :))

Minor spoilers below so I'll put spoiler brackets around it. The next Rambo movie supposedly...
involves an army super-soldier program designed to build the ultimate warrior. Of course, it all goes terribly wrong, the test subject escapes and Rambo (and a 22 year old sidekick) are brought in to track down and terminate the threat. People who have read the script say there are definite elements of Universal Soldier and Predator, among others

...so in that respect it could sort of fall into the periphery of sci-fi.
