The movie that should have been made after OHMSS !!!

I always thought the the idea of Bond going rogue, leaving HMSS and joining forces with Tracy's father to go after Blowfeld would have made a great follow up to OHMSS, as both men want their revenge! Near the end of the film Tracy's father pushes Bond out of the way as Blowfeld tries to shoot Bond and takes the fatal shot meant for Bond ! Bond shoots Blowfeld finally killing him!, M asks Bond to come back to HMSS and he does. Tell me what you think....

Reminds me of Peter Hunt's original setup: OHMSS ending at the wedding, with the conclusion being the teaser for
DAF. The whole thing with Draco does sound promising. Raymond Benson kinda went into that territory a bit with his novel Never Dream of Dying albeit differently.

My problem with that is that I like the idea of OHMSS ending with a devastating shock. Almost all Bond films end happily. OHMSS, CR, and to a lesser extent, QOS are really the only exceptions to this rule, and I think that by having a sad ending, OHMSS is immediately cast as unique among the Bonds. Also, I don't think the title would make as much sense if Tracey didn't die at the end of the film. The way I see it, Tracey died as a (indirect) result of Bond's being a member of Her Majesty's Secret Service. Thus, OHMSS is one of my favourite Bond film titles. While I do think that DAF should have tackled the revenge plot more enthusiastically, so to speak, I am happy that Tracey died at the end of OHMSS rather than at the start of DAF.

And when they start not smiling back—that’s an earthquake. and then you get yourself a couple of spots on your hat, and you’re finished. Nobody dast blame this man. A salesman is got to dream, boy. It comes with the territory." Death of a Salesman

A while ago I came across a fan made trailer for a Lazenby-led OHMSS sequel, very similar to what you suggested. To this day it's one of my favorite Youtube videos because it could have been so good.

I agree that OHMSS should end the way it does-it is perfect. DAF could have worked as a Lazenby on the edge film-much like the actual novel where Bond is just fighting gangsters and doesn't really seem to be an agent. I just would like to have seen Lazenby return and be able to give an uninhibited performance-not to mention that Peter Hunt would have returned to the director's chair!
