Strange thing, Facebook. Yet to get properly used to it. On the one hand, an instant and easy way to keep in touch and share photos with far flung friends. On the other, a creepy flashback tool that throws up people I've spent years trying to forget. I'm constantly amazed by how many people are searching for me on "Friend finder" despite having only known them for a short period through work or other people, or worse, having been at school with them and were part of making my time there such a misery. I guess some people just view it as a collection.

And besides, it proves that old adage of "everyone is connected through 6 degrees of separation" is complete garbage. Try 2. Especially in this little part of the United Kingdom...

And why is it the only people that try to become friends with me are the idiots from school?! There's a reason I haven't kept in touch with you, you were a wierdo/bully when we were at school chances are you're still one now.

I agree that many people friend you-and you really wanted nothing to with them ever again.

"Yes, that's why I haven't spoken to you since I left High School" is what I'd love to say sometimes, but I just don't have the cobbles.
However, I did once take great pleasure in deleting a "friendship" of a troller on my status. "TAKE THAT!" I said as I clicked my mouse. And it's felt oh so good.

I've had people find me on FB from way back in grade school. It tells me I have a friend request so I look to see who it is. Then I'm like "holy stuff, I haven't seen him/her for 20 years" I end up befriending them but hardly ever message them.
