    Hmmm, no reviews yet...

    I haven't read it, but there's nothing to stop me posting one of course.... :D

    Just save yourself some time, and give it five stars ;) I'd appreciate notes like "a non-stop thrill ride," or "the femme fatale just leaps off the page." :p

    For anyone who's curious, the "Look Inside!" feature is now active at Amazon.com:

    http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&submit.x=31&keywords=9781432759346&tag=outskirtspres-20&index=books&submit.y=11&link_code=qs

    ...And the price has come down there a bit...although the best price for a non-signed copy is still at Barnes & Noble:

    http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbninquiry.asp?r=1&ISBN=1432759345

    Helpfully yours, :D

    Congrats Loeffs -{

    It's like elation and a little deflation all at once, like the rollercoaster ride has suddenly thrown you to your destination and you don't want to get off yet. ;) Well, that ride was just one of many - time to make B&A work. Good luck. :D

    BTW - Haven't had chance to read for a while with a three year old and 10 month old, but I'm making B&A an exception - will order a signed copy from you right now! :D

    Actually, I'm going to get one from Amazon. It's nice to watch those sales mount up, and it's better for you in the long run if you sell more through outlets than from your own supply. It gets your name out there... -{

    Ordered my first copy through Barnes and Noble yesterday. I went in to the store and asked a clerk at the counter to look it up. It wasn't showing in their system, so I had her reference the item number from the B&N website. She was able to order it for me from there. The book is shipping directly to my home. I had the option of shipping to the store, but it cost more that way ?:) Anyway, there are two Barnes & Noble locations here in Tucson, and since I want two copies (one for reading and one for collector's sake) I'll repeat the exercise at the other store. I don't know if this does any good for you, Loeffs, but maybe - just maybe - they'll latch onto the book here somehow and get it on the shelves for you.

    Cheers guys! {[] And thanks... :D I really need Jade to rescue me from my s****y day job. "Help me, Obi Oscar. You're my only hope!" :))

    Daren: at my local B&N, they keyed in the book's ISBN and there it was...don't know what the deal is with that...and the B&N website still doesn't have the synopsis in the "product desciption" section...grr.

    My copy arrived this morning- thanks, Loeff! Autographed and dedicated, too; the Bride was most impressed. I obviously haven't read it yet though I'll be starting it tonight, so all I can do is to echo everyone's comments on darenhat's wonderful artwork. It's impressive, it's atmospheric, and it's quality through and through. Daren, if you fancy doing a CD cover just let me know....

    Thanks again, Mark. I don't suppose you'd fancy being interviewed by telephone on my radio show this Saturday....? Introduce ol'Oscar to Scotland!

    Started it and it's complete rubbish...

    Just joking! Completely and utterly hooked. Love Oscar already, especially as he's instantly flawed. Didn't expect the foot, just adds perfect realism. Very well written/edited and extremely cohesive. I love your writing style Leoffs - pity a crying ten month old put me off my stride late last night - going to get some pages turned tonight though. :D

    I'm at Chapter 10 now, and I have to say it's wonderful. The characters live and breathe, my fave so far being Claude. When we were on the air, I meant to ask you about casting- the only one I mentioned was that
    I saw Myrna Mallory more as Mary Astor than Lauren Bacall and you didn't contradict me; which may be significant... (Obviously you'll know that Mallory was Raymond Chandler's first choice for Philip Marlowe's surname). So, my question is- which of today's actors do you see as Oscar Jade? Bruce Willis would have been my choice ten or fifteen years ago- perhaps Clive Owen...?
