LOL guys, nice one Bondtoys quite funny.... but enough of being childish, do any of you know the details as you claim you do or not? Better yet do you know anyone who even works with Lindy Hemming or Louise Frogley in person? If you do, well lets hear it otherwise your just being hypocritical and look silly.:D

Well, I personally don't have detailled info about this specific tie but I know, that others here on the board do.

    As some mentioned previously:
You have been the one who came up from the nothing claiming that you have insider informations about this specific tie and are trying to sell it.

The only thing, that we have is a pic, which can be taken from everywhere and no further details.

The requests to show us a bit more about the tie will be an opportunity for everyone:

If it is, what you claim, I am sure, that you will not find a better place to sell a rare and genuine item for a good price. So, you should take the opportunity that all the doubters and moaners look like you mentioned: Childish, hypocritical and (that's from me) like idiots!

If you have doubts into what you have said in your first post, you'd better admit it and are friendly asking people for help by providing the full story without preconditions. But then it's up to you to take the first step and not us!

You'll get qualified and honest feedback here, no matter if you like it or not. :)

Thanks for not being biased Bondtoys and yes I agree. I am still not conviced anyone here has the correct info, its highly unlikely unless they worked with any of the designers or knew someone who did.
Even so, why have they not shared this information and attempted to give me a hard time for not doing the same thing......

I didnt lie though I do have 'inside' info but its not a big deal in my line of work so apologies if I sounded boastful. To all the other members no hard feelings and if you want to close the thread thats cool.

Primebond, I am not sure, if you really understood me.

Why don't you pull your head out of your butt and show everybody, that it's true what your saying.

The ball is in your field, so, why don't you play it?

I know at least five people on this board that know the information and that got it first hand. A few of us have spoken and visited with the clothiers that worked on the film (see Madagascar shirt thread). Lindy Hemming herself has confirmed that all of the ties supplied were not designed for the film specifically as they were in TND, but hand picked by her and Craig personally. Craig even suggested the tie maker. I say again, LINDY HEMMING HERSELF CONFIRMED THIS. Our knowledge and reputation is not under scrutiny here it has been confirmed time and time again. Yours is getting worse everytime you post. It's simple.....

If you want to sell an item, you post what you are selling, a price and a picture as well as history. You do not hold out information, that's just daft, why do that if you want to sell something? It's becoming quite clear that something is very wrong with this sale.

Maybe he's protecting his source because they might Never Work In This Town Again(TM) if his or her identity were ever revealed.

    :))

:)) We don't wanna know that though. We just want him to post a pic of the tie for sale (not a promo shot) and the info on what he is selling. This is an off the shelf item and we are just trying to protect someone from potentially getting their fingers burned.

    Sorry, Asp9mm. Just being silly!

Yes, the logic is he should put a picture on the site of the tie for sale he's genuine. Simple enough.

Hell, even I know the apparent maker. :o

    1) You know 5 people yet none of them have told you.....

    2) Hemming confimed that no tie was specifically designed for the film.... where did you even get that from?
I dont know if you read that from some unoffical site or made it up but your mistaken. Ever heard of
company rights or marketing, what you have said defies them both so much so thats its laughable :)).

    3) Your comments are getting ridiculous, I wont bother to read what you have to write so dont waste
    yourself

    Goodbye

Yes, Brioni unfortunately was hired for the suits/shirt but not the ties, if anyone here is familiar with Brioni work they would know that. Thanks for putting up pics of both ties, have to admit I like mine more, it costs more to make too ;).
  • HigginsHiggins GermanyPosts: 16,619MI6 Agent
yes, but point is, your tie looks different to the one, that has been screen seen.

So, what's the point that you offer a tie, which is "almost close to...." ?:)

    ASP9mm,

is your picture with the closeup of the tie from the movie ? I thought that the shirts in the scenes with the tie had contrasting stripes. Or maybe it was just the lightning.

    Thanks

My reliable friend told me it was in line to be used on screen which is still pretty sweet. However I see your point, maybe I should have sold the original 'on screen' clothing first. Oh and those of you who have pm'd me for the blue QOS tie, john lobb's, y-3 jacket etc. Ill get back to you with pics and sorry its paypal and recorded delivery for safety reasons and peace of mind.

    Kindest regards

I hardly think that anyone has PM Mr. Primebond about anything...
Message to Primebond: Only a fool fights in a burning house - case and point: your reputation is cooked here... go to eBay to sell your made-up stuff and move on...

That is amost correct, but that tie IS Brioni (most of the shirts were made by the London based costumers, such as the Cricket Pavilion/Madagascar/Bahamas arrival. T&A did the dress shirt and Alfani the Bahamas poker shirt - Brioni only made a couple and they were only officially contracted for the suits, NOT shirts or ties). If anyone wishes to contact Mr Crane in Bond St. He will confirm it. Although at one point he did think it was Hermes. The other ties were supplied by Turnbull & Asser, Hermes, Brioni and Ted Baker.

Yours might be the nicer tie, but it also makes all of your statements of being 'the Montenegro tie' and the proto the actual tie was based on, utter nonesense. They are completely different in pattern, make, weave and colour. And if that is the most well made tie that you have ever seen, then you cannot have been in the fashion business for very long. And I'm talking hours here and not days or weeks.

Thanks. Now I have a better idea of what to ask of Indy for the same look.

Does the suit look like charcoal/dark grey to you ?

No it's a promo pic, he wears that suit and tie in Montenegro but the shirt was worn on the Train.

it is a promo pick but that suit, shirt, tie and cufflinks were all worn in montinegro. I beleive the same suit and shirt were worn on the train with only the tie changing.

It's a different suit because the Train one is a Pinstripe, this gray one isn't. Also the Train one is a standard three button whereas the Montenegro is also a three button but rolled to the second button and the lapels are very different. They are different shirts look at the links below:

    and

Two different shirts and patterns, he also wears two different cufflinks too. Two completely different outfits.
