Christmas Shopping Trip Museum Surprise

Yesterday we could not put it off any longer - my wife and I had to start our Christmas shopping! :#

Before going into Derby city centre, (we don't go there that often and for some reason we always seem to get lost there), we went to the Marina at Barton, (http://www.bartonmarina.co.uk/p0_0_0.htm) and whilst my wife went round looking for girly things I went to the toy museum at http://www.toysofyesteryear.co.uk/ where there were quite a few different Bond exhibits - and here's some photo's of them:

One thing I did want to ask is about this photo third from last in the album of the Corgi Aston Martin. Has anyone seen this variation of a gold and silver DB5 in this packaging - I have a model in the same box - but it's just got a silver/grey car in it - not this two-tone paintwork!

Hope that you all like the photo's.

And then we managed to get about half of our Christmas shopping done and as some icing on the (Christmas) Cake I managed to purchase a new phone - a Sony K800i - like Bond's in Casino Royale so an expensive but enjoyable day - that ended with sore feet and some much needed red wine!

Thank you for the great story and incredible pictures...I don't know how well I would have kept my composure if I had walked into a store and saw all those Bond goodies!

Derby - absolutely love it. It must look very nice, when there is Christmas shopping time there.
I have never been to the toysofyesteryear, but you forgot to mention the greatest 007 toy store in Derby: That great Aston Martin dealer opposite to the stadium :x

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

Only went to the one in Peak Village (not too many 007 items to be seen in that branch of the museum, but other nice toys on display) . Will definitely check it out around christmas next time i'll pay a visit to http://www.solnet.co.uk/metropolis/ in Burton On Trent .
