OK my fellow sleuths, I am now the proud possessor of the exact model of miniature reel to reel tape recorder fitted into the rear of the TLR camera used by Sean Connery when questioning Tatiana on the boat. I am however having great difficulty ID'ing the TLR camera used. Does anybody know or can anybody make out the brand on BluRay. I don't think anybody has attempted this prop before and I want to get it right.
Thanks guys

It's a Rolleiflex camera. I don't remember the specific model. They are not cheap either. If I were you, I would not gut the camera to make this. Use a leather cover to simulate the recorder being part of the camera. Rolleiflex cameras are great pieces on their own merit.

Yeah, yeah I know, I will get around to the photos, I promise ;%

Just been looking at my screencaps, I think that your idea is exactly what they did originally, the case is deeper than just the camera. This has to be the approach. Bearing in mind DO's comments above, I won't press you for the model until I've got some photos up. But thanks for the Rollieflex steer.

Just wondering if you ever tried to make the Gyrojet pistol from You Only Live Twice from an existing non-firing gun replica?
I was recently looking at a non-firing Colt 1911 replica on Ebay and noticed, at least to my eyes, that there were a lot of similarities between the two pistols and maybe it could be a good candidate for converting it to a Gyrojet rocket gun.
Just some food for thought. Always interested on your take on these things.
No...haven't attempted that...YET
Basic shape is the same but that's where it ends.

Oops not me but SpectreIsland, but just to add, my understanding was that the Gyrojet Pistol was made from relatively cheap pressings and not as a normal pistol is made because there is no explosion of the cartridge to contain. The Gyrojet round just 'gently' accelerates from a 'launch tube' as opposed to a normal heavy weight barrel, so very little sudden recoil. I think you'd be better off scratch building, than having to having re machine gun metal.
Just my 2 pennys worth.
