Sorry to interrupt the flow but my brother is just finishing his university degree and would like as many people as possible to answer his survey (even if you don't fully understand it!).

It is about Computer Licensing, which for those who don't know s the little (long!) code you have to put in when you install some new software to prove that you paid for it.

As I mentioned he would quite like both people who do and people who don't fully understand it to answer the questions. It's totally private and your details are not passed to him or anyone else.

    That was an interesting survey; software licensing and DRM have always been an area of interest and occasionally frustration to me given some of the hoops users are required to go to to get their software up and running and to transfer rights between hardware (the Xbox 360's DRM policies can be positively maddening if you're console dies and you have to get a replacement).

    BTW Barry, I was in the second to last age group; a couple of more years and I'm going to be right with you in that "46+" category. :s

    Just completed the survey...pretty interesting. Fortunately, since I'm still a caveman who only owns one computer and no laptop, I've never had to wrestle with multiple license issues.
