They really are idiots. I'd knock this on the head if I where you guys, it was a terrible tie anyway as it just didn't last long due to the pulling issue.

And IF you want to talk 'pulling issues' see Tom Ford....!
The samples I have are pretty 'robust'.... And that alone may therefore condemn them not to be original?!

If you had as much wasted time logged with T&A as I have, then you'd understand
The tie was well made and seems robust and smooth, you wouldn't expect it to catch on anything, but it actually does... on everything. I was constantly cutting loops off with the scissors on my Leatherman. It's a beautiful tie, but I wouldn't get another because of that. The only other T&A tie that had the same problem (but not to that extent) was the TWINE herringbone tie.
Good luck with your request, in my experience though, the more you push T&A Jermyn St, the less helpful they become. Totally the opposite service you get in their overseas stores.

It would appear the wrong question was asked. The samples I was sent were made as requested by Toutbrun and no reference was made to T&A files. As I previously mentioned the blue squares originally had 10 threads, the samples only 8. So they are not a match. Neither, in my opinion, is the 'copper' colour. However, listening to what was being said a different question was asked and this thread ( 8-) ) sorry!) is being investigated. As soon as I have confirmation I will post again....
Oh, and regarding the other T&A ties, they'll be ready soon - so let me know interest...! :007)
And these are the very first that have ever been recreated....!
What do you mean by "this thread is being investigated"?
I'd be interested in some of those ties but I'd like seeing photos before making a final comitment

I dont know about first as a while back a few of us had T&A recreate the large herringbone bilbao tie, but i am interested in any T&A ties that get accuratley reproduced ;-)
