It's not that good for weight loss,as I always have a cup with the two or three burgers and fries I have of an evening and I haven't lost a pound yet. :))

If it makes you feel any better TP, I just gained some of it back from the delicious fruity chocolate bars and waffles I've been eating the past two days :))

Drank a ridiculous amount of Thai iced tea that we brewed in our hotel bathroom for a friend's wedding today. Nearly gave myself a concussion smacking my head against a beam while setting up lights for said wedding. The depressing part is that I've been mistaken drunk twice by random strangers while searching for caffeine in Utah, where the majority of the population is Mormon and abstains from caffeinated and alcoholic beverages :#

Hmmmm, Green Tea good for weight loss. I need to lose a few pounds. I was supposed to start two days ago, but Beer was calling out to me. Once I can put beer aside I can start to go out on my bike. I'm off at 8pm tomorrow. I just need to come straight home and go for a long bike ride. If I do this daily for a couple of months I can lose around 20 pounds. Maybe more. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Just noticed a post on this thread dated 15th April.
Mr. Plural said some old guy was lucky I didn't "kick him to death".

Unlikely. I couldn't kick anything much.
    I was already legless.
    As usual.

Tonight, I've got a bottle of vodka to sozzle and a load of mongolian caviar.
Off to see my mate who I didn't kick to death.

It was an ironical reference to you 'not doing kindness'.... :D

To aid visualisation, bearing in mind where you are, is the old guy Japanese? I'd imagined a Jeffery Barnard type.

Two shots and a splash of water. :D

I expect you've heard that one already.

    Ha-ha-ha.
"Two shots and a splash of water".
I hadn't heard it before, but I'll use it down the pub tonight.

Hello Napoleon. The old chap is Japanese.
    Er, whose Jeffery Barnard?
Is he some old soak of an actor or something?
If he is, between my friend and I, I'm the one whose the Jeffery Barnard type.

    Legendary Soak

He's an old writer/journo who lived in Soho 1950s to 1990s roughly. Played by Peter O'Toole in stage show based on his life, about how he was an old soak.

    Hmmmm................

Peter O'Toole, "another splendid bugger". Would've liked to have seen that.

Sounds like I could've played Jeffery Barnard. Only I wouldn't be acting.

I was familier with Soho back in the day. The types I hung around with didn't talk much about writers and journos though.

Sorry everyone. Mr. Plural and I are having a bit of a chat. This is supposed to be the "boozing thread".

    O.K. back on track.
Tonight Matthew, I'm going to be Jeffery Barnard and drink lots of booze and stuff.

had a nice glass of La Crema with mom last night. it's a blended red.

a few nights ago, however...was my friend's 21st. so we took him to a local brewery and bought him shots. lots of them. poor Keegan :P and then we bought a couple sampler rounds so he could try ALL the beers the brewery has to offer. at the end of the night, we had to hold him up and buckle his seatbelt for him on the way home. Let's see if he ever goes drinking with the rest of us ever again :P

Far too much..... at a friends wedding - and it started at 1.30 - it was sunny and hot, which led from Pimms, to lager, to wine to champers.... to finally JD and Coke B-)

    Feeling it today :#

I quite like to drink it, but I fear I don't know much about it aside from knowing that the green stuff is the cheap stuff...only a few brands are allowed here in the US of late...
