I tried a Morgan Spiced Rum and full fat coke with a twist of lime the other night. the spice gives it an entirely new flavour which is complimented by the sweetness of the coke and the tang of the lime.
Moscow mule, cuba libra and a gin and tonic. Then spent the evening getting through far too much kirin at Mama's. Wobbled home and found a bottle of scotch to fall into.
wasn't LAST night, but Wednesday...my bar does $1 well drinks.
was on a budget, so...vodka cranberry, vodka grapefruit (recommended by the bartender...not sure how I felt about the taste) and finally a tequila shot with lime and salt. would have had more, but my drinking buddy had to leave, and I don't drink alone.
seriously. friends. come visit me, and we'll go to the bar on wednesdays and get schwastey faced for cheap
I had a lovely Bordeaux at Cafe Rouge, but I feel that will be my last red of the season now that spring is here, I am back on the whites - less thread veiny I feel.
Neds (Marlborough, Sav Blanc) is tasting very good, currently.
I had two pints of Fosters with my steak. Not bad beer really.

Pinot Grigio, Pint in teh local, more Pinot and red wine with dinner.
I drink WAY too much, but I don't drink anything at all Mon-Thurs....does that make my binge weekends OK??
Hmm, hit the whisky and Stone ginger wine yesterday, a mistake.
Like SWs, I don't drink nightly so hope to recover my liver and self-respect that way, but I think it's best to only drink out, that way there is a natural limit imposed that you don't get at home.
On top of that, was invited to an evening drinking absinthe at the Nightjar, a Speakeasy-style bar in Old Street, London.
It was hosted by Ted Beaux, an American from New Orleans who used his background in biochemistry to reconfigure pre-ban absinthe, namely Pernod Fils, and recreate it Jurassic Park-style.
Of course, this meant he came up against legislation dating from the anti-absinthe hysteria. He's the last guy to be prosecuted for selling absinthe in France.
Liked the first sample best, Jade Nouvelle Orleans I think it is. A tad sweeter than the others, though it's an acquired taste. Don't feel too rough the next day, though you add water of course. Lots of herbs and stuff, fairly clear headed. Not wrecked like with acidic wine or whisky. -{

Cool post.
What did I drink last night? Too much.
