One of my friends is always saying “You’re the King of Incidental Props”

Granted…I do have some pretty obscure items that sometimes appear on screen for just a fleeting moment.

I’ve always been one to add interesting items, knives, guns, swords, gadgets, etc to my ever-growing collection and…sometimes…find that one of the items in my collection shows up in a film.

One of my BEST moments is when I see something I already have show up in a Bond film!!!
Saves hours and hours of trying to hunt the item down….LOL

This is one of those “Hey!! I have THAT” moments…..

OK, Bond-Fans…..Anyone venture to take a guess which film this “deadly” contraption appears in?

Hint: This also appears in the film INDEPENDENCE DAY to “crack” open the Alien Environmental Suit.

I’ll post the answer tomorrow…..

Oh sure!!! You used your "Handy-Dandy Props of James Bond sketchbook by Ed Maggiani of TheSpyBoys.com” to ID this...didn't you? LOL

Yes, it is in fact, the so-called Geiger counter used by Bond. It is actually a portable contamination monitor.

Minigeff...as I re-think it....you were sort-of correct as it also appears in that scene. Apparently SPECTRE gets their equipment from the same source. They also have much larger units that Bond and Honey slip their hands into.

Here is a full photo of the unit. Notice that the “Wand” is slightly different from the one used by Bond but exactly the same one used by SPECTRE.

cool stuff ed. not bad considering this appeared on screen roughly 2 decades before i was born.

does that make me an eagle eyed bond fan, or just an indication i need to get out more?

maybe a bit of both.
