I was going through eBay and i noticed a new pair of Barton Perreira Joe's have been listed with an oh so affordable starting price of $2000 with a BIN of $2600 8-) (after fees, s/h and the initial investment hes making nearly 4 times what he paid) I have no problem with people making some profit but these sunglasses are not 4 times the price nice! Apparently the seller thinks Bond fans have more money than brains )

Whilst the seller is clearly trying to make a few dollars extra, formally nothing can be held against him since per law he‘s doing nothing wrong. So ebay can‘t do anything...
And personally: Anybody willing to pay 2000$/ 2600$ for a pair of sunglasses is really asking for it

Yeah and the seller is fully aware of that fact! I asked him nicely how he could honestly justifiy such an exorbitant price and he said the price was based on current demand which according to him is high. He also said that even though I think the price is way too high there are others who won't be deterred from paying such a price. Obviously he didn't understand my question so just wished him luck on his sale )
Is the demand really that high? He isn‘t stating whether these are the glass of plastic lens version.
My pair from winkoptics will arrive tomorrow and I never got the feeling they were low in stock... ?:)

Winks version is the optical version modded by changing the lens. Therefore guess the writing on the arms will be slightly diff to the sunglass version
The auction is closed so maybe be got what we wanted (i.e. a prince's ransom).
I'm hoping that he realized that he'd never be able to get his asking price seeing as there is another auction listed for $630 or B/O that has not sold yet! I don't think anyone here on AJB would be crazy enough to pay that price

I wouldn't necessarily say that as I know there are people who are Bond fans that need to budget for certain items.
