    No, that was never seen on screen. I doubt they would have ever used such a pattern for promotional purposes either, it's a completely different style to those bought/designed by Hemming. Avoid!!

    unless i'm mistaken;

    its weird too that the artwork (the girl sillouette) comes from TWINE and the image of brosnan looks like it was lifted from GE.......

    I am the first to hold up his hands and say I have NO knowledge about authentic Bond clothing and costuming, but - if it was a promotional design, could it be one that was created, but rejected / discontinued?

    (I ask out of sheer curiosity.)
    This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

    It's possible, but look at it. That would clash with Bonds suits something awful. Definately not something Lindy Hemming would have chosen.

    We should ask him for a promo picture where you can see his tie.

    Is there any way to comment on that item so potential buyers can beware?

    Just got reply from the seller:

    "Hi,
    This was bought for me as a present in 2001, apparently it came from an auction on TV and £250.00 was paid for it. I believe that this tie was made for the film by T & A but was not used. Possibly the auction channel then made the perspex box and put the background collage in (obviously someone who doesn't know much about TND or James Bond). The tie itself is made by T & A and they could probably shed some more light on this and prove it was made for the film. Any more than this i cannot say. I have loved having this in my collection and has made a great addition to it. Sorry i cannot be of any more help. Many Thanks

    Hahaha, it gets better. I just got an email back from an old member who has contacted T&A and has found that the tie is of a more recent manufacture date than 1999 -2001. Sounds dodgy if he's claiming he got it in 2001 8-) And certainly post dates TND by several years.

    I would check, but we've all wasted far to much time with this already.
