James Bond autographs for sale

I am VERY reluctantly selling my Bond autographs.

A mix of in person, BBC, trusted dealer, JBIFC and Bondstars autographs.

Tried on Ebay for £300 and no takers. Will sell on here, inc paypal fees for £210.

Seems a relatively realistic price (£210) but to be honest even though you say some are from recognised sources i.e. Bondcollectibles, I'm not too convinced with the Dalton. That signature looks a bit squee-wiff!

So yes, I have my reservations there.

The Dalton came from the JBIFC

    Here's a better pic

I went through 3 Dalton sigs before I was happy.

Thanks for the close-up scan, I am still certain it is a fake.

A real Dalton signature would look like this. http://www.bondcollectibles.de/referencelibrary/timothy_dalton.php

Do you mean you have owned 3 Dalton signatures, or went through 3 examples before you were happy and convinced you to buy this one in question?

I saw this on eBay but shyed away as the Dalton was suspect - the D in Dalton is all wrong.
I was also unsure about the Brosnan too, but his signature varies so much, I always find his the hardest to tell!

If it's been on Ebay, there is a very big chance it is going to be a falsey! :)) You and I and other experienced collectors know that's where the majority of fakies stem from. ;)

I know what you mean about Brosnan, his signature does vary from time to time. A way of identifying, certainly the authenticity of the letter 'P' in his sign, is that he'll usually use a quite curly/long 'P'.

Saying that, in my opinion, Connery's sig is quite a hard one to determine with all the 'n's' in his surname. This is where it can be tricky, as even the fakers can sometimes get the double 'n' looking near perfect to his own actual sig - worrying thoughts! :o :# :))

    Cheers matey!! -{

Sorry. but have to agree completely about the Dalton signature, its all wrong. Dalton has not signed any bond stuff for years now, trust me. I`ve met him several times since when he bacame bond, and he told me he doesnt sign bond photos as the photographers do not get any credit for the copies of the photos, these were his exact words to me and the reason he wont sign them. Also the fact that it is in silver shows its quite a recent sig, and he wont very often even sign autograph books or cards as he knows they are matted against photos and then sold. The only thing he seems to sign now are theatre programmes.

    Damn and blast X-(

This was a prize from the JBIFC - still got the letter that goes with it :(

I'll have to split them and leave out the so called Dalton.

Bad (and very annoying) news, but thanks for the heads up guys

Sorry about that mate, won't and doesn't prove a thing when it comes to convincing someone of it's authenticity.

You'd be better off sticking the fakes through a shredder, because that's where they belong! :))

No problem, it's just that we're trying to educate people to a certain extent so that they don't become victims of these darn fakers. Fakers will never win. We are the good guys! :D

The only two out of those that I'd be happy with are Lazenby's and Moore's. The Connery, Dalton and Brosnan don't look genuine and I can't see enough of the Craig signature to make a judgement.

He'd be better off binning the thing! :))

Whilst I very much appreciate the help and advice from people who really know what they're talking about. Which has saved me from possible problems if I had sold my display.

I most certainly do not appreciate that you find my misfortune so funny, TM 007. No need for that.

I do, and thank you. The main reason I accept your apology is that I can tell you're an intelligent person and know your subject, so I value your opinion. That's why I took your laughing at me to heart.

That frame has been on my wall for ages, so I don't mind admitting that pride has been hurt here.

I woukldd would much rather be told than live in ignorance, and yes I did check Alexs guidde to autographs and thought it was closse enough - the fact it came from the JBIFC was good enough for me - how wrong I was, and how much the club has slipped since David Black took over.
