I complimented danjaq_0ff a while back on some custom plaques he made for the Thunderball S.P.E.C.T.R.E. Ring and the You Only Live Twice Helga Brandt lipstick bomb that were in the S.D. Studios style. Well he sent me both and I got them yesterday. Too cool for school! Don't delay and ask him nicely if you can get some to augment your display.

    WOW!!!
    The plaques certainly give them a finished look.

    Several years ago I had originally planned on continuing the SD Studios series by offering these same style plaques so that newer, small-ish props could be displayed alongside the original Desktop series.

    Obviously, there is no need for me to go forward with that as Pete has certainly more than surpassed that idea by making and offering these. Great minds think alike.

    WELL DONE!!!! I highly recommend these to anyone!!!!!!

    Big thanks to you both, It was our multi talented friend that did these, I provided him with the artwork and he produced these lovelies :D I didn't offer anything for sale, I just helped DG out because he had the same props, I do intend having more made for a few different objects, I will post pics when they made :) but if anyone wanted these made they would cost £13 + p&p each, no one makes a penny on this price, it goes towards materials and the use of the laser engraver.

    Yes, that's correct. I got these from Pete "on the arm", but they are worth the price qouted in my opinion. Excellent work! Can't wait to see the new plaques.

    As long as corrections are being made the first Octopus on the S.P.E.C.T.R.E. ring plaque
    has an additional S. Other than that I think they are beautiful pieces !!

    And if we're being really picky then "Like the tentacles" should be "like the tentacles" (lower case L as it follows a comma.

    It was a Meyers 200A, not a Cessna

    Don't feel bad, I spend hours doing graphics and still make these mistakes, I always get a fresh pair of eyes to check my stuff out before I release them.

    Love the plaques though {[]

    The SPECTRE ring was not in Dr.No

    What ones was it in Ed, FRWL to DAF ? -{

    Ed

    Ed is right. The SPECTRE ring appeared in FRWL, TBALL, YOLT and DAF. The FRWL and DAF versions were different. The FRWL version was a raised octopus with four tentacles instead of the later eight. The DAF version was more of a standard signet ring rather than the three ring design but still having the eight tentacled octopus.

    However, I assumed you took the write up from the S.D. Studios "Number One's Ring" placque which also erroneously includes the Dr. No reference. Although Dr. No was a member of SPECTRE, his metal hands precluded the use of a ring.

    Lastly, I don't mind the plaques as they are. They will, in time, be more collectible becuase of the mistakes and small amounts produced.

    Kind of you to say D.G. but they will be put right ;) and I will send you another set.

    I did copy the s.d. plaque for the ring lol, all other plaques will be spot on as I have taken Mantis up on his kind offer :) and have sent him a few of the ideas I have for future plaques.

    Cheers everyone for the input -{
