Hmmm, I agree that the cardigan is the same in the first scene and Craig in the promo shots...but the one where he is with Mathis looks like a lighter weight and I think if that huge collar was flipped down it wouldn't be such a low profile as the one shown.

I thought the one at the end, on the boat, was a light weight cardigan. I have been looking for this one and have been unable to find it.

I'll go through the blu-ray tonight to see what I come up with.

Pretty sure those at least are the same. Have been for a little while, and am consequently amazed no one has ever asked Magnoli to reproduce....? ?:)

I think this screen shot should clear this one up, the collar on the cardigan with the hotel balcony scene with Mathis has a very slim collar.

I agree with Mantis and the others above - the DC "red carpet" cardigan does look to be the PTS cardigan. That's a great find Monza! But the hotel balcony cardigan and Venice cardigan are definitely different. So there are 3 variant cardigans in all.

Here's the hotel balcony screencap with the brightness dialed up. As 007 and a half just pointed out, the collar is much slimmer. Also note what appears to be a high-placed button up near the collar.

Here's another angle on the Venice cardigan. Note the absence of that button on this cardigan.

IMHO looks more like the button is covered by the collar in the second picture. But I might be mistaken.

FYI to anyone interested, a cardigan similar to the one in "CR" (the Montenegro/Venice scenes) just popped up for sale on ASOS. It's the first thin cardigan with a shawl collar that I've seen in a really long time. Most cardigans with shawl collars are heavier and thicker, like the Tom Ford version from "QoS." This one is not 100% accurate, but it looks like a nice alternative to the one seen on screen, and for under $35, it's a great deal.

The pts cardigan is definitely the same as the red carpet one. I've become slightly obsessed with this one in the last few weeks. Just something about it that I love. Magnoli said he can do it for $175. Here are a couple of good detail shots.

I found a decent "close-enough" to the Casino Royale sweater with the stand-up collar from the PTS (shown in the above photos) at Express for Men - http://www.express.com/stand-collar-ribbed-cardigan-40664-759/control/page/18/show/3/index.pro

The stock photo on the site doesn't do the collar justice - it stands up taller than you see there. For the price, it's a really nice alternative.

    Kind regards,
    Craig

Nice find DBS, on the alternative.
