Movie about Flemming's commando unit

This week filming starts on "Age of Heroes", a movie starring Sean Bean and Danny Dyer.
They play officers in 30 Assault Unit, the commando unit led by Ian Flemming.
The commandoes first train in Scotland (filmed in Jæren in Norway) before they parashute into a Norwegian mountain village to capture secret radar tecnology from the germans. Sirdal in Norway will stand in for the village. As it happens, I live and work in Sirdal, so I'll try to see some of the filming. "Age of Heroes" is planned to be the first in a trilogy about 30. AU

    Fleming didn't see active service, did he? I know he trained in Canada, but was under the impression his knowledge of intelligence secrets forbade from doing anything more than desk work and training. Sounds a good series though.

    So was I untill i heard Danny Dyer was in it. He is an awful actor and he has starred in a film with Bean before about vigilantes called outlaws it was one of the worst films I have ever seen.

    Damn! Because the snow has melted too early the filming has been moved from Sirdal. The filming will still be within driving distance, but Sean Bean standing in front of me in the que at the local Coop now seems unlikely. Sirdal is a ski resort community and snow has allways been a given, but now Sirdal has too little snow. They are a also considering moving skiing championships and school ski-trips to earlier in the year in the future. Climate change is real.

    Will this movie ever show in the US? Supposedly, it was released today (May 20, 2011) in UK cinemas and will then be released on DVD in the UK in June (PAL format, but no info on NSTC for North America). I will eventually watch it on DVD if it becomes available, but I definitely wanted to watch it on the big screen.
