Kazan Magnoli ties are up (2 versions)

Looks like Indy made 2 versions, one in Silver which is happens to be cheaper. Does anyone have the actual TF tie and if so, is it silver or gray??? Thanks

I only see one Kazan tie and I think that it doesn't have all the glow and the shades and the vibrant colors the real one has, but I must admit it's almost perfect. The pattern is very well reproduced. Buy it with pride.

Went with the gray one myself. What suit does DF wear in the Kazan scene???

    Bruno,

Look on the 'new products' section and you'll find the silver tie there.

It's over half the price of the grey version.

IMO, the silver is the one you want. I have one of the TF ties, and there is definitely a metallic sheen to the ovals. Not gray. Here's a shot of my tie -

    Silver one (25$)

    Kazan one (60$)

Well the Silver one is closer to the original, and 25$ including shipping, that's a joke. I have the real deal and I'll buy one.

Re-post of a picture taken for me at NY Store a few months ago of what became my own tie.

I see what you mean in that last picture. The Tom Ford one really has a light reflecting quality to it.

I've got Ford (though not the Kazan) and Magnoli ties and I don't see a major difference in the depth of color or the sheen of the silk, though without question the Ford ties are of a higher quality silk. The Ford ties look to be 7-fold and are of considerably greater weight. I can't imagine what a $25 tie is going to look and feel like, but for 25 bucks, how can you go wrong? I've ordered both and it will be interesting.

The silver Kazan tie has been increased to $30 each. I've been debating about getting one of these as a gift for my Dad, & now I'm really regretting not snagging it for only $25. I guess it's true what they say, the early Double-0 gets the tie!

Magnoli's Bolivia tie isn't even close to the real pattern. Otherwise, his motifs are very good, but it is obvious that the feel, and I personnaly would say the dept of color are different.

But anyway, at 25$ I bought two, one for me so that I don't make pulls on my real one, and one for a gift. I will post pictures of it with my real Kazan when it arrives, which is in about 2-3 weeks.

Just got mine (silver version). Silver is def very shiny... not sure how it compares to the original. Looks great tho.

Silk is nice and thick ... really seems like Magnoli is beefing it up in that department. Can't wait to see his PTS tie.

    Well, received the two Magnoli ties and I don't think either matches the TF, to say nothing of matching up. The Kazan silver ovals are more of a gray, and with the "silver" version, the silver is a reflective thread that TF would in no way use. Of the two, the Kazan in my opinion is by far the preferable for regular wear; I guess the "silver" might be ok for a tux if you like that look versus the bow (I don't). I'm thinking the "silver" might have been a mistake in production, Indy recognized it and hence the low price. I still have no problem with the Kazan which is a very nice tie, and the silk and lining feel superior to Magnoli's previous Bond ties, which haven't been bad and I've enjoyed wearing. -{

Seems like finally I'll give them both. Still waiting to receive them. Will post pictures with the TF one for everyone to compare.

I respect Indy's creations and his overall boutique, but this very tie, the silver one, is not good enough.

First of all, the silk is nothing like the Tom Ford one, but you already figured.

The saddest thing is the ovals - it looks like it is made of sparkling glue. Seriously, this is disturbing.

A smaller issue is that the pattern around those ovals is not made of shades but simply the same all the time.

Not ISO-Bruno, but if you haven't seen the real TF one, the non-silver might be fair enough.

    Ties in their packaging ;)

Tom Ford - HOWEVER, do not be fooled, the pattern disappears half the time, as seen in the screen caps.

Hopefully, the correct version will be better. In the meantime, I'm stuck with two of those.

22nd April was my birthday so I ordered the Copper Hamburg tie and Silver Kazan tie from Indy. Hope to be wearing them soon.

I just got my Kazan tie. Oh God! It glitters!!! Let me wear it and see what sort of reaction I get.

People will ask you if you dropped sparkling glue on your tie ;)

Can someone make a list of the ties and what part of the movie it's from? I think I know but I want to be sure. The Bolivia tie is from the party scene with Fields, right? Thanks.
