John Gardner 30th Anniversary Editions?

I say it's time to reprint the Gardner Bond novels, and what better time to do than next year for the 30th Anniversary of License Renewed. Call them "The 30th Anniversary Editions" -- a reprinting of the entire series with new uniform cover art. With nothing happening on the continunation novel front, this would be a great time to bring back Gardner, and a beautiful thing.

We can discuss it here, but you are a member of the CBn forums, please do me a favor and jump over and vote in the poll. This is the thread I will forward to IFP.

It would be nice to have a 'uniform' set of the Gardner Bond novels. Something along the lines of the hardback covers they recently released for Fleming's Bond novels could work. I guess the IFP would be glad of the cash too :D

I agree; I always liked the complete PB Coronet editions from Fleming through to Benson (the ones with 007 printed in the 'D' of Bond) but I never bothered to purchase them.Reretting it now. Some of the new Penguin designs have been a bt naff. I'm not sure Bond should be treated as contemporary fiction although I guess that's a nice re-appraisal of Fleming's writing standard. Somehow, I don't think Gardner or Benson would ever qualify as such.
