Bond Watches. Let me Start

Hello all,
I've been a Bond fan for as long as I can remember. As a watch collector also, I put two and two together. I started collecting Bond watches less then 2 years ago. I decided to start with Moore years when Seiko's ruled the screen. Here is just one of the complete collection of watches used in the these Bond films...The Seiko TV Watch.

As a true freak for Bond, I figure the ultimate experience with this watch would be to watch the actual scene where it was used on the actual watch. Wasnt easy but here you go!

Let me know what you think. I have to take pix of all the other Bond watches I have.

The best person to contact re the history of this watch is Bondtoys. He's the foremost authority on the Bond Seikos. He will bore you to death though. So invest in some pro-plus before you contact him.

I'm no expert but I know a great deal about each of the Bond watches. I've collected them all so I figured I'd share them. There are not too many place where people are into these. I can tell you for certain that I havent rally met a person who doesnt look at me a little funny when I tell them what they are and why I collect them.

I quite agree. Bondtoys is also quite knoledgeable about the other Bond watches in the canon too. An expert in my humble opinion with the credibility of years of collecting to back it up. Asp9mm, you're no slouch either.

A beautiful watch back in the day. I'm after the vintage rolex submariner vintage rolex submariner. Would love to know which one of the many rolex models listed has been featured in the bond movies. I remember the submariner with the spinning bezel in live and let die....

Well, if you want the one true "Bond Watch" most would agree that it was the first watch worn by Sean, the Rolex Submariner ref 6538 (aka big crown). This, on the proper cloth strap (or brown gator as worn in Dr. No) just screams Bond. After that, he wore a few different (newer) models of the Sub but there are plenty of sites that talk about them:-)

Good luck on these the 6538 model that was used by SC is a prized collectable and commands alot of money you can get a nice 5513 model that RM used in his first 2 movies for a more modest price +/- 5k

Yep, the 6538's can fetch up past 20k. Amazing watch but crazy money. Hey, you can always go the Omega route like PB wore. Pick up a nice used Seamaster for around 1k.
