You made a post stating why, in your opinion, we didn't need mods. I countered that with very real reasons why the owner of any forum does. Since then, all you have done is hurl insults and debase your own post with daft remarks. You say you dislike conformists and cliques. But cliques are not conformist, but a small minority of like minded individuals who differ from the main.

I've finally come out of my 3 year AJB silence at the behest of my dear Pendragon and I can only comment on the fact that I've never seen a single person be so persistent in their unjust attacks on the moderators of a FAN FORUM before. All I've seen is an ignorant ass clawing away at as many things as possible while overusing the ninth grade vocabulary sheet they never really studied. People obviously feel much stronger behind the safety of a computer monitor and a bowl of Cheetos.
Think of moderators as supervisors at a department store. There are several, and all of them are crucial to keeping the store open and successful. You can't expect the single general manager to oversee every single department all at once. Where would your beloved Wal*Mart be if there were no employees in the snack aisel you probably spend most of your visit in? I doubt you'd want to find the manager's office and ask for assistance. Now that I think about it, Wal*Mart is a bad example (they are very disorganized there) despite their always low prices. Better example: think of moderators as lifeguards at a public swimming pool. When a moronic child like yourself decides it's a good idea to dive into the deep end but starts to drown, would you want to wait for the man who built the pool to drive there and save you? That could take a while. Without those on-duty lifeguards, you wouldn't be able to keep your nose above the water. Hmmm. Now that I think of that, you do seem like the kind of pompous prick that would gladly jump into danger just to show off how strong you think you are. I'll just stop there.

I've already explained why we the owner of the site (not us) needs to have mods check in daily if not more. Libel, copyright infringement, adult material etc. The owner can be taken to court and sued if the site is not moderated to remove offensive posts, and libelous claims. They are essential for keeping a forum open. Those forums that are not well moderated close very quickly.
