items for sale

due to myself being in dire financial circumstances having just lost my job and in desperate need of some cash, regretably i am trying to sell three james bond collectable items which i purchased when i was in a comfortable financial position. They are the following:

A signed photograph of claudine auger, luciana paluzzi and martine beswck from off the set of thunderball. comes complete with certificate of authenticity from bbc.

A signed photo of shirley eaton painted in gold from the film goldfinger. comes complete with certificate of authenticity from mustav autographs.

A framed goldfinger poster signed by honor blackman, shirley eaton and tania mallet. comes complete with certificate of authenticity from the cinema store.

If any one is interested in making an offer for all three pieces or each individual item please let me knnow.

thank you for taking the time to read this.

Do you have an estimate of the items and pictures?

i would be looking to sell all three together for 350 pounds sterling plus postage and insurance costs. I am willing to listen to offers and also offers for each item individually. i would rather sell all three at once though as i am desperate. hope this is ok thanks

Sorry to hear of your situation.
I don't think you'd get £350 for all three, and I think you would be better splitting them - certainly the Thunderball picture is worth the most separately, in my opinion.
    Good luck.

I really like the Beswicke, Paluzzi & Auger multisign you have and I believe this to be the most valuable item of the 3 pieces you have.

I agree with Andy, I don't think you'd get the £350 your looking for, for all of the items (I'm not sure they're worth quite as much as that) but certainly think you'd get around the £130 - £220 mark at the most.

Why not try calling Fraser's Autographs who are based in London (I've had the pleasure of seeing some pieces in their shop on The Strand, London) as they can often offer a valuation for items andd this will give you an idea of a price you will least likely to get, certainly from a dealers perspective. www.frasersautographs.com

    Hope this helps!

They say that autograph's price increases about 20% a year. I'm not sure about their numbers. I think that some autograph will increase in value, but I feel like at the current prices are high and could not go very higher. Or am I wrong and should I get on the boat of autographs?

Interesting comments but I totally diasgree with the price increase of 20%pa - I don't think it's possible to estimate what they'll be. Thinking about Bond autographs only, an example for a fluctuation in price is market availability - someone who has never signed TTM or attended conventions, may be classed as rare. The second they do then attend a convention, the market is then flooded with their genuine autographs (along with the fakes) which then dilute the value of those already in circulation. A 'recent' example of this is Ursula Andress - the value of her autographs dropped by a good 25% as soon as she attended Autographica about 3 years ago. Perhaps the biggest increase is when a celeb passes away (which is why I'm hoarding Christopher Lee ones!!!).

Let's also not forget that the current financial climate has not helped - there's been plenty of people selling their entire collection for much less than it would have been worth a few years ago.

Remember, something is only worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it.

Now those really are dealer prices that you paid for your signatures back in 2007! :))

If you can't get shot of the items after consulting Frasers Autographs, why not try selling them back to Alex at BondCollectibles or even sticking them on Ebay?

Let us know how you get on.

Do you have an idea what type of margin BondCollectibles take? Would they take them half price?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean?

    Probably!

I meant what kind of % of the price is profit for them. I guess it's something like 50%, but is that with or without all the eBay fees, I don't know.

@Scott - an autographed photo can be purchased directly from Shirley Eaton's own website for £21. Therefore that is the current value. You would struggle to sell for more. Over the past 15 days on eBay the highest completed sale price for an Eaton autograph was £15. The lowest completed sale price was around £7.

I really do think that you'd struggle to raise £100 for the whole lot.

thanks for all of your opinions... do you think that selling all three together for 200 pounds is realistic or am i better off selling them indiviually? would anyone be interested in any of them individually or the the whole three together?
