Hi all

I will be doing a one time run of TMWTGG Carved Teak Elephant.
The prototype is shown below
000690.jpg
000691.jpg

These will be handcrafted out of solid blocks of teak wood - not resin or cast product.
I think it will go well with the rest of TMWTGG collection - the Golden Gun, Gold Bullets, Belt Buckle, Bottom Ups materials, Chunghwa cigarette pack, Solex, etc.

Please PM me if you are interested in one - pending price.
Once I get a rough count - I will provide a price and get the final count.
No deposit is required - we are on honor system.

Very Nice Piece!! Didn't the film ones have a base on them? Not sure but I seem to remember the kid holding one with a base as well. I'm interested for sure!

Yes - it will have the base as seen in the film. And I will also work on the trunk, etc.
What is shown is again just a very rough prototype for sizing and looks (evaluation of workmanship) only.
I just prequalified my subcontractor and will now proceed to the second stage of carving the replica of the film.
So there will another final prototype.

The production one will be accurate as seen in the film. It has to be.

I would be interested but It would have to be more screen accurate.
Your one looks better than the one on screen. The screen one IMO looks less polished and varnished. Can't wait to see your prototype.

Mantis, thanks for putting the screen caps up there. I know that TMWTGG is not one of the more heralded Bond movies but I have always found it to be enjoyable. Every time I even look at J.W. Pepper I crack up. I also think it would be very difficult to find ANY woman to look more impressive in a bikini than the lovely Britt Ekland.

This elephant is definitely from one of the great scenes of this film and a great idea by TEX to do a run of these.

By the way, about three years ago someone was selling an elephant on ebay which they claimed was the original prop. I actually began bidding on the item as it looked quite legit. However, my suspicion eventually got the best of me and I am glad that it did. I looked up the film scenes and it was definitely NOT the one from the movie. The grain was different , the trunk was different and the base was different. The only time I ever retracted a bid on ebay.

I'm sure this run of replicas will be closer to the original than the one from this story was. I for one am looking forward to it.

Yes, I definitely remember that - I got the screen cap of that Ebay page too - I will post it if I could find it - change my computer so many since. I did not bid on it of course, but follow the auction to see where it ended. Anyway, mine would be cheaper than that :-) and definitely more accurate too.

Thank you Shatterhand67, you are in.

You are already on the list. Anybody who did state they are interested and on the list too.
Along with all who have PMed or emailed me.
I have a rough count in mind now, but I think I will need to post pics of the final prototype before getting the final count.

    Please be patience with me.
    Thank you -{
