I think the GG will be shipped from UK for UK members
But the delivery charges were $86 (around £50) via "Priority Mail International" so I'd be surprised if it would be coming from the UK to UK purchasers. If it is, I'll be expecting delivery charges of a 1/5 of the advised charge.

Well FE have a UK office – so in principle they could ship from there, but the online store is in the US….
Let's talk logisitcs then GM so I'm clear. I get regular packages from my brother-in-law in Hong Kong, they are usually presents of small value and are delivered straight to my home address. I also buy stuff from eBay in the US and it's always been delivered straight to my home.
So, are you saying that with the GG, the parcel won't be delivered to my home address (for my credit card) but somewhere else, for me to collect and pay the VAT, Import Tax and then a fee to the handler (for wherever it's delivered)?
Apologies if this has already been covered, but it's suddenly turning into to being logistically worse than I though (and it adds further delay for me actually receiving it).
Damn VAT , well as far as know we don't need to pay nothing if you prove value is under $45 US (including shipping).
Just tell me if i'm wrong 8-)
Once upon a time there was this too honest chap, who ordered something from Far East - to be more specific some legal replica display firearms and some huge nasty blades. Well customs took the delivery for inspection and this too honest chap headed to their office and told them the real value and you know what happened - that chap had to pay VAT
And so he learned his lesson )
Knowing who to trust is Everything in this business.

Andy, the problem is that FE are obliged, as a company, to legitimatly fill out a customs declaration for each overseas package they send, they do not have a choice in this. Our problem comes when the package hits the customs clearing wharehouse at this side. Obviously being a Bond collector I have stuff coming in from all over the world and it seems to be a bit random as to what gets pulled aside as being liable for duty. Anything over a certain value, you'll need to check on the HMRC website for the figure, 'should' attract duty. But I have been lucky many times and not been pinged, also been unlucky as well, it does appear to be very random. So bottom line is that your GG 'could' attract the duties laid out above and you will then have to go to your local post office sorting office, or Parcel Force or FedEx or UPS to pick it up and pay. One small tip with the Post Office or Parcel Force is that you only have to pay the Customs/Import up front, insist on being invoiced for their admin fee (£8) They are not allowed to withold mail if the Customs/import has been paid. They very rarely follow up with an invoice. Result.
A very full response Andy, thank you. Clearly I've not had as much stuff imported as you, so I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed (that mine get's missed).
If I remember correctly, you've ordered the LE, the SE, Jaws teeth and the Tarrot cards altogether?
Alas due to Christmas and impending parenthood I can not afford one but I thought you fortunate few wondering how to display your GG could perhaps have a look for a stuffed bird... no not the Christmas Turkey but how about a black crow like in the film. After all if they're good enough for Mr Scaramanga.....:
It is our aim to get everybody their replicas before Christmas. But Direct orders (orders placed on our website) will receive priority and we will not ship wholesale accounts until all direct orders have been fulfilled.
