Even if I was/am one of the people who complained, I'm gonna tell you this. When you have to go through your savings to pay yourself a toy, because you dreamed of it, and at the end to discover a lot of disappointment, I think it's very legitim for you to shout it everywhere, especially on board like this one, dedicated to the toy you bought (the GG) and tell all others your disappointment.

In my case, I was not only disappointed, because of that said and because I've received a damaged box, with a not-straight screw, and a gun that has marks here and there, me I was disappointed of the attitude of Factory Ent, who always speak on their side in a way to show they only have reason. I mean have you noticed in all their posts or email (if you received from them) how they always said : "Our products have not been mis-represented, they do exactly what we said they would do" (tooken from their post), our expectation, our this, our that.... As far as I am concerned when you have a busniess (especially a new one) and want to launch an new hot product, you have to listen to the buyers, to the clients, espcially in a case like the GG, where the clients are specific to this kind of product.

When I asked Factory Ent why do they gave us a case, that in MY OPINION (and other's opinions, I have spoke to someones), looked cheap, I got as an answer, because they liked it... But I DIDNT... and I suggested them to offer a new option ( a more sophisticated case, etc..) I mean if you compare this gun and his case to the ones of SD Studio, all people here we'll tell you. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE....

This post reflect my own opinion, but I am pretty sure that it reflects a lot of others' opinion. So everytime, I am going to talk about my GG, I am going to relate my bad experience. Am Igoing to return it? Not sure yet; if I have to pay shipping again, no way... Otherwise I can still keep it and sell it later, but I have sincere doubts it will take half value of SD studio...

For what its worth FE I am very happy with the final result reading this thread it would seem there have been some minor quality issues but I also get the feeling some people wont be satisfied unless the thing is solid gold fires gold bullets and is delivered personaly by Christopher Lee! and costs $350 :))

Glad you're happy with your product, but your comments and "feeling" regarding
"some peoples satisfaction to the product" are totally useless.
I suggest you to stir your own martinis and leave your comments via
PM if you feel compelled to continue that line of yours.

    Guys,

Does your pen cap holds well... mine is very loose... :(

It depends on which pen you are referring to (joking) :v ;)

But yes, the golden gun pen cap is quite loose

    - don't know how it supposed to be, how they designed it to be.

You know sometimes as a consumer it can be hard to look past your individual problem and see a bigger picture.

If FE are telling the truth that they paid to have special factory quality control done then non of the problems that have arrisen so far should ever have done so.

I should imagine that the issues which have come up therefore, are a major headache and upset to them as a brand and company.

I feel everyones pain on here but as a business man I know how hard it can be to put your trust and faith in your suppliers and then get let down. It's not your suppliers who get it, it's you as a company.

Obviously anyone who is not happy with the item from a general perspective then that is nothing they can control BUT if they are making good on any issues its hats off to them.

I checked mine again last night after un-boxing it and just reminding myself why I was so disappointed and to take photo's of what isn't up to standard.

To rub salt in to the QC wound the little magnet in the hinged cigarette case lid fell out as I opened it up. It's a small part and again shouldn't have come loose.

So now both the outer sleeve and main box have a few marks, the signed plaque is bent as I found this for the first time underneath the golden gun and although the gun is lighter than air it still managed to bend the corner of the plaque, but this can be reversed.

Definitely selling mine - Anyone in the UK not wanting to pay the huge shipping + tax costs give me a shout. I will only charge the exchanged rate sum that I paid for the gun + shipping to your address.

All the problems can be fixed including the plaque and magnet. The box isn't terrible but if I was valuing it I would said say it was nearly mint.

    PM if you're interested!

I'll hope in the future releases FE will give their customers
option to get items also inside European Union, i mean a possibility
to purchase the goods directly from UK.
I know this might reflect to the retail prices of future products.

Perhaps this is just a "brain-fart of the day", but you never get anything unless you try ;)

I am not even going to say the amount I had to pay customs charge for the SD Golden Gun - as I mentioned previously they only used DHL and the combination of postage and customs fee was horrific!!!

I have ordered my FE from a UK distributor similar to Play to ensure I avoided the customs fee.

As much as I wanted the bullet pack there is no way I was shelling out the insane amount customs will be slapping on!

It was 75 Euro for mine.

Yeah well times have changed since SD GG came out, i recall someone said it cost around $675 US + shipping.

Now FE is using Endicia insured (USPS) with their shippings, but still if you pay nearly
$750 US (including shipping) for the SE GG and then end up paying customs when buying directly from Factory
    - the grand total of SE GG is nearly $900 US or more, depending the VAT rate of your country.

I will say this I am sorry if I caused offence with my comments and yes I would be gutted if my gun had arrived in that state ( although i am sure f.e will be putting it right. they seem very helpful )
Maybe I was just lucky mine is perfect. I have wanted a replica like this for many years. I could never justify the cost of a sd so this to me is the next best thing and for £299 off play .com delivered is in my opinoin great value (although I would of liked a wooden box instead of the perspex)
But everyone I have shown this item to has been very impressed by the qualiity and way it comes apart. it is the ultimate gadget (after the db5 )
I think F.E have done their best and more importantly they wont be making it again!
as for future value I don't care as it is not going to be sold I didnt buy it as an investment i brought because I am a huge fan

Hi guys, first time poster, long time lurker!

Just wanted to chime in to say I got my SE gun no.232 yesterday. I was a bit nervous after reading some of the comments about peoples' problems with their guns; but happily it turned out to be perfect!
Everything from the fit of parts to the finish is spot-on. The only bad part was paying 115 Euro to customs!

Now the bad news. a few hours after I got it, I put it on top of a bookcase to photograph it. After taking the pics below, I went to put the dust cover back on, I accidentally bumped the gun and knocked it backwards off the bookshelf (a 4ft drop onto carpet). I can't even describe the panic I felt as I went to pick it up.

Luckily it was mostly undamaged, but whatever way it hit the ground, the threaded bar off the cufflink took all the impact, as it's bent out of shape. It's not a big bend, but it's enough to make screwing it in very difficult. I'm scared to screw it in and out in case it breaks off in the hole.

I emailed FE about the possibility of buying a replacement cufflink, they've yet to reply but I hope they can do something - It was a completely stupid accident and I'm still kicking myself about it :-(

Received mine as well today, after parting with an extra 111 Euros. Like I'm not bleeding tax money already X-(

Anyway, the gun is light yet o.k. , no serious errors etc. Bit pricey at $650,- (plus import) but hey, it is an awesome prop: the Golden Gun with 'Bond's' and 'Scaramanga's' autographs...
All in all, this will remain in the collection !

Ouch! I'm sure FE will be able to send you a new cufflink trigger, which of course will be taxed heavily by our friendly customs officers :P. In your case; as long as the bend is not in a place of the thread that is used for holding the parts together, you should be able to carefully bend it back using a pair of pliers. Metal used for thread rolling is usually soft and not brittle. Be careful though. Amazingly, the supposed weak spot (the weld between threaded bar and cufflink) held!

Just got a reply from FE:

    "Dear Valued Customer,

The guns are currently on a boat en-route to us but will not arrive and clear customs with enough time for us to ship and deliver to you before Christmas. We will begin shipping the minute they arrive but with the disruptions to delivery services that occur during the holiday season people should not expect to begin receiving LE gun orders until mid January.

We apologize for this delay which was entirely beyond our control and we thank you for your patience and understanding."

Not good news for those of us currently waiting for the LE GG.

I'm still very excited about getting the Golden Gun as most other reviews are extremely good and I still have high hopes. However these constant set backs are starting to get very annoying. Especially since on the 18th of November Factory Entertainment said

"Direct orders are shipping now, so there is no reason to be concerned."

Now they're saying that we aren't going to get ours till mid January. It wouldn't be quite so bad if they clarified originally that SE would be delivered months before the LE however they made it sound as if direct order SE and LE golden guns would be delivered at the same time.

I'd like to know what the hold up is on the SE. I ordered in the first 30 seconds of the preorder and i'm still waiting for an email confirmation for shipping. Sorry if i sound like a broken record. Maybe it's payback for bitching about the bullets, whatever. This is my last purchase from these guys. There is more to a company then just a product.
