after all this I hope FE gets their stuff straight for future projects. I was really looking forward to getting my GG in October for my birthday then delayed to november, then delayed to December, now after getting an email delayed to January. I am not happy with hte service part of this deal. Now after reading some of the other posts, hopefully it will show up and I will be able to put it together. So FE if you are listening in future projects learn from what has gone on wiht this one and correct it.

    Hello All

Got my Parcel Force letter today asking for £109 in taxes and VAT for my SE. Ouch! Paid it and having it delivered this Friday. If there are any further JB reps. Coming from FE in future I'll try and source them from a UK importer like Play.com. I can't afford this hobby with extra expenses like this.

Still very excited and can't wait to get my hands on it. Just need to buy a show case now to display my collectibles....... Another expense, oh well you can't take it with you but, as my wife says, she could have it!

can anyone help me with this problem?
I had a pack of chunghwa cigarettes sent to me from the uk to go on display with my golden gun but the pack is spoilt because unlike the picture on the web it has a big notice on it saying "SMOKING KILLS AND IS BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH" it isn't a sticker it is printed on and coves 1/2 the front of the pack making them usless for display.
does anyone know how I can get a pack without the warning on it?

    Hello All

Right. Just unpacked my SE GG......... fantastic! I love the product and the way it's displayed. It will be a talking point at parties for years to come. I'm happy with the quality and would score it 9/10 with only a few minor imperfections in the gold, mainly with the cigarette case which I put down to poor wrapping of the item with the tissue paper(it was holed when I separated the foam covering). The gun went together well but I don't think it will come apart that often as it does seem very delicate around the trigger section. One other minor point - 'It's too shiney'. I would have liked it closer to the movie look of dull solid gold.

That's the positives. My only real gripe is the state of the silver product box after being transported from the states. The thin brown card covering box was wholly inadequate for the protection of the product box which, when removed, had two large crumpled edges due to there only being 3mm of card to protect it from external knocks. This is not a major issue that would cause me to return the gun but feel if a 10mm slither of polystyrene had been used none of the knocks would have reached the product box. The box is only in good condition now not mint which is a pity. I intend to email FE tomorrow but know there is nothing they can do now.

Overall I would still give this replica a 9/10 with a caveat to improve packaging on future releases.

Thank you FE for making it.

    Steve

Ps I'll post pics of damage to product box tomorrow.

Isn't it a non refundable deposit?
  • Disco VolanteDisco Volante Surrey, EnglandPosts: 543MI6 Agent
I've not seen anything that refers to it being non-refundable.

After the last email from FE, I decided to ask for a refund also. I received a reply that mine would be sent in the mail. So far I haven't got mine either, but I'm not too concerned yet.

Straight from the FE Website comes the following:

All pre-order deposits are non-refundable, with the following exceptions:

•You cancel your pre-order within 48 hours from the time you receive an order confirmation e-mail. Please note that if you choose to cancel your pre-order during the 48 hour period, a $20.00 administration fee will be deducted from your refund.
•You will receive a full refund if we cancel or are unable to fulfill your pre-order.

This is normal policy for companies, I say this before everybody jumps aboard the 'Outrage Bus'

I am awaiting my full order to be filled before my Guns, teeth and cards are shipped to the UK, This is why I've been very quiet on the poss quality issues, I will hold my piece until I have it in my hands. :))

They say that if you're not happy they will refund you. Well from what I see, I am not happy. And I do not intend to pay 200$ customs fees to find that out.

I think it's just cheap from them to have me waiting around.

Anyway, if they continue to **** with me, I'll just call VISA and have the transaction cancelled.

I don't think you will get it. The only way to get a refund is to receive the gun then return it for a full refund. How can you be unhappy with something you have not received yet? You may be unhappy with everybody elses guns but i don't think that counts. Those guns are not yours. Instead you have probably cancelled your order and lost your deposit.

On a brighter note, i was told all SE guns have shipped. Not sure why mine got held up but i got my email and it's on it's way now. It's supposed to be here friday so i guess I'll wrap it up and open it for Christmas. Yay

Well I've seen the pictures and the comments of everybody about how it feels. And it's not gonna make it.

Anyway, I think it's very cheap to say you have a satisfaction guarantee when you obviously DON'T.

knowing that I am not always diplomatic :o I suggest, that you contact FE FRIENDLY with an email.

As far as I have found out, they are pretty supportive with people, who are not 100% satisfied, but judging them here in public without a clear "no" to your claim does not make too much sense imho.

Well I did contact them but their response is just long to come. Like, two weeks.

...sometimes a reminder or a call may help. We all know, what time of the year is and that they are currently having a lot of work to ship their items out and deal with the complaints.

Think I saw something about refunds don't include any postage and taxes

so if you're so certain you don't want it compare the taxes and postage
with the deposit and pick the lowest.

As usual bondtoys talks sense, but not everyone is capable

    Good luck

Well I am sorry to jumb in the conversation, but as a SE gun owner, I can tell you that I have found out that FE was not very supportive and understandable... at first when they have made us wait months to ship the first guns, I have decided to ask them for a refund but they've answered by a categoric no... even if the delay was non sense... and then when I get the gun, with many defaults, like damaged box, bended cufflinks, scratches here and there on the gun, etc... I have contacted them and they've answered that they were sorry but if I want I can get a refund :s !!! after paying the shipping, etc...

I thing there is a lack of corehence there somewhere... but anyway to avoid headachs I stopped sending them emails and I kept the gun, but I can tell you something, even if they offer 18 k real omega watch with cutting laser for 100 bucks I would never buy from them anything...

Clever, so you can show off the parts and the assembled gun while paying only one. :v

"FE, please help - I have a scratch on my lighter, another scratch on the pen, a dull spot on the cigarette case, and a bent cufflink! Oh, and I just found a scratch on the bullet, too!" :D

where the gold plating isn't very heavy, if you know what i mean.

If you could trust them? Well you still need to ask when you need something. You know, I think people have overreacted because they had very high expectations, but FOR THE PRICE I guess it's not bad at all. It's just that we - or I - was expecting something better than SD, something perfect. I'll just wait for another version to be made. It probably won't have the signatures, but I can live with that.
