USPS Priority Mail to Canada $50. I think it's fair...

And if you want to up your order, just call them, I'm sure it will be no problem.

EDIT: For the Golden Gun, that is.

shame steep shipping prices price me out may have to wait for some on ebay if they come up

I wouldn't wait for anything on EvilBay..unless you want to pay alot more...or did you think people buy these to put on Evilbay and discount them? I'd jump on one if I was you

Out of curiosity jbuk, where in the world are you? I think the issue here isn't the price of the product itself (assuming you too are Internationally located jbuk), but the shipping costs (not to rain on the parades of US Bond fans who have ordered). I thought of perhaps just ordering the cards for now, but shipping came out to cost more than twice of the cost of the cards themselves. ?:)
yeh im from the uk thought about ordering just the cards but $56 dollers for shipping is almost double the product themselves hence why i mention ebay as they may come up cheaper there from a us seller

    That's wise then.

The other option, I'm thinking, is to try and order through your local comic book / collectible shop, which may result in a cheaper sell price to you than the website, even after the store's wholesale cost and shipping?

Perhaps, Factory Q-Branch, you could advise us on where the high International shipping costs come into it? Surely a pack of cards doesn't cost US$65 to send to Australia or the UK, and I'm a bit bummed that 007 collectibles I was looking forward to purchasing are now not as internationally accessible as I once thought.

Ordered the LE version on Friday, but had them update my order to the SE version today.

Anybody else a little surprised / disappointed that the SE Gun hasn't sold out yet?
  • toutbruntoutbrun Washington, USAPosts: 1,501MI6 Agent
Well, they haven't done publicity, it's just the people in the know, and that was the pre-order. It's not like they were in every Walmart. I believe that they will increase in value over the years... that is if another version isn't made.

It's a downtime for Bond with no movement on the latest film so alot of fans aren't paying attention. I'm curious to see what happens after people see it at Comic-Con if they display it well.
  • toutbruntoutbrun Washington, USAPosts: 1,501MI6 Agent
Well if they were making new movies every two years, maybe we wouldn't pay attention to all the details like we do now, like the clothes, or even the furniture. I think it's a good idea they let us a few years to give us the time to afford the things. Thanks for that, EON. Still, I'd like to see Bond 23 sometime. You may start filming is what I mean.

I'm a little surprised they hadn't sold out yet too but I wouldn't worry guys.......last I heard a couple days ago they had less than 40 SE Guns left...doubt they will last the week.

Oh sh*t what an asshole website! What a bitch n*gga website!

FE should have been more careful in the search for wholesale sellers and should have set some clear rules about the pricing.

Sucks to have the price drop already on the LE. Makes you wonder how much of a discount these guys are getting from Factory Entertainment.

Hopefully the SE version won't be sold cheaper since it was stated that there wouldn't be any wholesale pricing on those.
  • danjaq_0ffdanjaq_0ff The SwampsPosts: 7,283MI6 Agent
naughty naughty, also makes me wonder about quality, most places mark up 100% :o makes you think indeed ?:)
  • JamsterJamster ukPosts: 54MI6 Agent
I suppose a lot of questions can arise from it, like next time FE produce something, do we buy it direct from them or wait to see if it will be cheaper once it is out with the retailers???

Im sure buying in bulk is cheaper but $50 is no small amount on $449......
  • toutbruntoutbrun Washington, USAPosts: 1,501MI6 Agent
Maybe those guys have it half price! Maybe The Mantis could open a phony store in his backyard and sell us the goods half price B-)

i'd say it'd be around the $280, $290 mark, but thats just a stab in the dark.

i know to run a project like this has many hurdles to overcome, but the cards costing more to ship than they do to buy? :#

taking a closer look at the cigarette case, it looks like it is made of very thin metal. is this because it is hollow and functional ?
  • minigeffminigeff EnglandPosts: 7,884MI6 Agent
hollow, maybe, functional..... depends on what you term 'functional' don't it?

the promo shot of the gg look promising, i guess time will tell whether its worth its weight in...... well brass and aluminium in this case.

    tick tock tick tock...... -{

I guess he means if the case opens like a real cigarette case. Would be good if it was a usable fountain pen and lighter as well as my friend said!

    GM climbs on capitalist soapbox

Guys, bottom line is that companies, either original manufacturer (FE) or resellers, have to make money. Manufacturers have to supply resellers at less than RRP, otherwise the reseller makes no money. That is the way of the world.

BUT, if we want to see FE produce more quality Bond items then we have to support them, otherwise it will not be in their own interest to continue. I for one will continue to buy direct from them in good faith that they will be successfull and continue to give us what we want ie more props. You can't have it both ways I'm afraid.

PS I have co connection, apart from being a customer, with FE

PPS I know we have yet hold one of their products in our hands, but I believe they will be things of joy to behold.

I don't have a problem with FE selling these at a discounted price to stores so the stores can make money, but had I stuck with a LE gun I would be feeling a little ticked right about now. I hope for everyone's sake that the value of both items only go up from here.

PPS I know we have yet hold one of their products in our hands, but I believe they will be things of joy to behold.

You're probably right. If they were crap they wouldn't have gotten the EON stamp of approval. Right....?!?
