I still cannot believe the SE GG's are not sold out yet! I thought it would be a mad rush to get them that Friday morning on June 18 when pre-order opened and here we are 3 weeks later and still not sold out. A bit disappointed about how many Bond fans I thought there were vs. how many there actually are. Although maybe it is not that there aren't as many fans as I thought, maybe it's due to the economy at this time. Who knows.

Perhaps many collectors are quite happy with their SD Studios version?

I consider myself a Bond fan but I think we've all got different priorities/budgets.

For instance I always buy stuff I can use so i've got a number of the Baron Bond suit replicas (very happy with them) and I also bought some of the Bond ties from Magnoli - I work at an Investment Bank.

And I'm just about to buy a replica QoS Tom Ford final scene coat too - would love the real thing but they're £3000 odd.

I do have the acutal Tom Ford James Bond TF108 19V sunglasses mind - they're great by the way!
    Things I hate:
    1. People who hate things.
    2. Irony.
    3. Lists.

    Hi Everybody,

Just wanted to address this 'why is the SE not sold out?' question.

People should really not be too surprised that they have not sold out yet. The SE was only promoted to a very select and very small group of dedicated Bond fans, those people who had pre-registered their interest and readers of select forums. This was to ensure those people got in first. We have deliberately done no other marketing on this product.

It seemed somewhat self defeating to create hype and potentially leave people disappointed when we only have 400 pieces to sell, plus its an expensive item and it takes people a little time to commit to that kind of purchase, sometimes a few weeks. We have people contacting us consistently every day to purchase the SE who have 'only just noticed' the pre-order announcement email that went out!

Plus its only a pre-order, which some people find a little off-putting. And you have to commit with a deposit, which again can make some people nervous. We know there are a LOT of fence sitters out there who will wait until items start shipping which coudl get very interesting.

We have been nothing short of delighted with the uptake and the quantity sold, and we can tell you that we have very few left available. We have been 100% honest with the quantities and have not tried to artificially inflate demand by being creative with the sales figures to make the item look scarcer than it actually is.

Having said that we are now pretty confident that everybody who had contacted us in advance has now placed their pre-order so we have started to increase the exposure to the general audience.

In just over a week we will be unveiling the Bond props range to the wider collecting community at San Diego Comic Con, where over 120,000 people will see it and learn about it, as well as countless media. That is bound to have a huge impact on the awareness.

    Once that happens I think people will be quite happy that they got in early and secured an SE. -{

You have a very good point though, but even if I did have an SD Studios versin I would have still gotten the FE version to compare, but this is just me speaking for myself :))

    Well seeing as it was an ajb007 idea we wanted to post this here first;

We have some great news for every customer who has already placed an order or is about to place an order for the LE Golden Gun directly from our online store, http://www.factoryentstore.com .

Included at no extra charge will be a set of 5 exclusive golden bullet replicas available nowhere else! That's right, they are absolutely FREE and are our way of saying thank you for buying 'Factory Direct'. This offer is only available while supplies last. They are 5 'blank' bullets without any engraving, as supplied by Lazar.

If you have already placed a pre-order for the LE Golden Gun, you don t have to do anything. The exclusive bullet set has already been added to your order.

If you are about to order you will receive the additional free bullets as long as the offer remains valid and 'live' on our site.

This only applies to the LE edition Golden Gun ordered directly from www.factoryentstore.com

We hope that this will be the start of a 'Factory Direct' exclusive program where we add additional value items to products that are also available at retail and will help to offset any price erosion retailers choose to undertake on MSRP's.

Thank you to everybody here who suggested something like this, it was really important to us to give customers a 'reason' to order from us directly, which we hope they now have. We continue to listen to your feedback.

Can we buy those extra bullets if we got the SE?

do the replica bullets come in the same carton as they did in the movie or just 5 bullets with no carton?
  • 007storm007storm The NetherlandsPosts: 345MI6 Agent
If it 5 bullets not come with the SE I thinking of cancelling my SE and order a LE.
Anyone else having the same thoughts?

Thanks FQB, love the idea. SO glad I ordered both the LE & SE. If anybody needs some Chungwha packs (Original sealed with contents) I have a limited amount to spare. $20 Each + P&P. First come first served.

For my next suggestion, how about a free Jane Seymour with each pack of cards? ;)

You will loose your $260 deposit. This just makes me mad. You guys should have hashed this crap out before the preorder. Now you have everyone who ponied up the extra $200 for the SE wondering if they should have gotten the LE. What a crock. Did MR leave their playbook behind for you to follow? This may be my last purchase from you.

I'm not quite as upset as others may be but I can't figure why you would only offer this for the LE version? I assume it's because the SE is not for sale anywhere else, but it kind of puts off any SE buyer.

Is it the Ciggarette packet to display them in that you are having problems with? if so why not produce a Lazar packet out of that red cardboard velvet stuff and have gold writing on it, just a thought :s

I preordered the SE too. I think the SE should come with the extra five bullets - if the LE is getting one. To be fair - SE also cost significantly more and there are only 400.
If FE wants to provide gifts for direct order - they should be fair.
    Thanks

does seem a bit odd that you get more for less.

A dollar? The can of gold paint I used already cost about $3.
But sadly mine don't come with bullets :))

My thoughts exactly. It would be different if this was stated up front, but to change it now combined with the fact that you can't cancel an order without losing your deposit leaves SE buyers to twist in the wind.

well if you've got an SE on order, but you wanted some spare rounds as it were, all you'd need is someone who can make you some......... 8-)

I don't want to pay for them!!! I'm very conservative (read: cheap). I'm already having nightmares having committed to paying $650 for a replica. My blood pressure is going up just thinking about it.
