Sounds like you have a few nice ones in there my friend, but pictures speak volumes so it would be good if you could supply some. There's a lot of autograph collectors here who know their stuff and, sadly, there's a lot of fakes out there, particularly Sean Connery, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan.
Any chance you could put them here with prices - I may be inerested in a few myself
I will post these later these evening when I return home from work. Are there any that you are interested as I have circa 40 autographs!
I can also provide you with further detail on where I obtained them.
For example I obtained the Connery from Lester @ Autographs Ink (web link still exists - probably the best Dealer I had met and truly believed in his products, sadly he no longer trades as he became very ill).
Like yourself (I have read your posts) take collecting extremely seriously and started by thinking that I was obtaining bargains on E-Bay and yes I used the shredder! As a result I would more often or not try and obtain them in person or I used an elite few dealers whom I trusted and have very solid reputations.
Like Andy has said, Connery, Dalton & a few other actors' autographs tend to be faked and sold on as 'genuine' so it would be a good idea for people to see what they're potentially buying before they actually buy! I am not saying what you have are fakes (not by a long mile), but it's always best to carefully examine a signature before buying so that you can satisy yourself that it is not worthless fake 'tat' that you end up with!!
But yes, please do post up some pictures & I'll look forward to seeing what you have on offer. -{
Sean Connery - purchased from Autographs Ink.
I would want £160 for this as is hard to find.
Pierce Brosnan - signed in person at an Omega Showcase I went to some time ago. This can be authenticated by a picture of me with Pierce during and after the signing.
It was busy so please appreciate this was a high turnover event.
Also includes the signature of some famous cyclist on the reverse for anyone that cares lol
Timothy Dalton index card. Part of a multi signed Licence to Kill display purchased from a UACC Dealer.
I would want circa £250 for this piece.
This includes Anthony Zorbe, Cary Lowell, Robert Davi and Benicio Del Toro as well as Dalton.
Ursula Andress - personal signing
Claudine Auger - Autographs Ink
Brosnan - signed at Times Square, New York at an Omega Launch Party
Eva Green - purchased from UACC Dealer
George Lazenby (in person)
Christopher Lee (signed at a limited signing)
Olga Kurylenka - signed at a premiere for Quantum of Solace
Desmond Llewlyn as Q. RARE - purchased from Autographs Ink
Dr No - Joseph Wiseman.
I feel this may put people off here buying as they were maybe expecting it to be a little on the lower bracket price tag, but still, have you not tried selling these on Ebay? If not there then Alex at BondCollectibles actively searches for new stock & would probably buy these from you at a nice price!
I can't justify spending around £160 on Connery's signature (even though that's it's true value) or even £250 on a Timothy Dalton. And his signature isn't that hard to find but certainly it may be to find a genuine signature from him compared to the many fakes that is out there.
But yes, you have some fantastic items and as I said they all look real enough to me, and all the best with the sale.
What would you pay for the Connery?
Also the reason for Dalton being so expensive is due to the fact that it is part of a 5 signature multi Licence to Kill display and would be a real killer to break the piece up.
