Do you ever watch Burn Notice on USA Network?

The star of the show, Michael Westen (played by Jeffrey Donovan) is like James Bond if he grew in America instead of Europe.

"I admire your luck, Mister?..." "Bond, James Bond."

More like MacGyver if he could actually make the things he says he can (which Matt Nix intended)

love this show. Loved MacGyver, I think that's why I love this show.

I like this show, and yeah I can see a more modern American Bond type in the main character. this is about the only show I watch on tv other than documentaries on various chanels and Top Gear

Yes, and I believe I brought this up a long while ago! (Burn Notice I mean). Good show, great protagonist. Still think Neal Caffrey of White Collar (on USA Network too) is a LOT more Bondian. White Collar is possibly the best new show I've seen. I absolutely love it. It's nothing similar to the "all action" type because it's much more "intellectual" pursuit, being about White Collar crimes, but it is awesome. It's basically "To Catch a Thief" in modern times. But Neal's style and manner? Totally James Bond. Not to mention he's bloody gorgeous. And, tall, dark blue eyes. Hello Bond!
"Are we on coms?" (if you don't know where this is from... you've missed some really good stuff! :D)

I suppose Neal Caffrey is like James Bond without the guns and the gadgets but the thing is I can't picture an American 007 enjoying a life of pilfering and committing white collar crimes.....But I can imagine Bond joining the CIA and getting burned for a crime he didn't commit.

Maybe if the Americanized James Bond was a mix of Neal Caffrey and Michael Westen we could agree on something. By the way if Neal Caffrey is the American Bond then he's like the young Roger Moore James Bond. Because in the show Caffrey dislikes guns and in real life "Sir Roger" doesn't like guns either. Moore said as much in an interview called The James Bond Story.
