Do you like Terminator 3?

I don't. Because the first two Terminator films said that the future was not set in stone. It can be changed. But then along came Terminator 3 and it completely ignores what James Cameron said about the future being unwritten.

terminator 3 is just a rubbish rehash of t2 and a sad way for arnie to bow out.

It's sad that the third Terminator movie suffered the same fate as Batman Forever and Superman III. And I'm pretty sure that T4 is the Terminator version of Batman & Robin.

I actually enjoyed T:Salvation...but agree that T3 didn't need to be made at all :(

You know, Terminator 2 tied up it's own loose ends so tightly that I'm pretty sure Jonathan Mostow didn't know what to do. So Mostow decided to just copy a formula that has already been done and it's been done much better than he could ever hope to imagine.

I think Salvation would of been much better if the roles were reversed and Christian Bale had played Marcus Wright and Sam Worthington played John Connor.

But it also just bugs me that they never used the original actor Edward Furlong in T3 or T:S. They could of even reused Nick Stahl and Claire Danes which would of been an improvement over Bale and Bryce Dallas Howard. The only saving grace to me was the use of Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese. It was funny how the scenes with Yelchin and Worthington always seemed to dominate the screen much better than Bale's fake angry-loaner scenes.

I enjoyed T3 when it was in theaters but it did contradict the first two quite a bit. I liked the approach Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles took of erasing the events of T3 in order to bring us up to date in 2008 or so. Too bad it didn't get to finish the storyline it was creating, but I liked the general idea of John having time-traveled into the future after Judgment Day versus having just taking shelter inside a giant NORAD-like structure.
