Wow! I'm at comic-con preview night.
The golden gun looks incredible and there are teases of what's to come next from FE. I'll post photos later tonight.

I do hope that it is that you have to be there to get the WOW factor, I remember the first time I saw an SD GG I was like but looking and looking and looking, I still cant get that feeling looking at the FE GG, and I sooooo wished I did
Thanks for the info. Wished I could have been there to see this in person.
I really never thought about the Faberge Egg but if they make it I'm thinking I can find a place for it.
also, you guys are probably gonna hate me, but couldn't someone have put a gob of bluetack under the plaque? the presentation looks a bit rushed if you ask me, and the golden bullet looks nothing like the film version (i'm assuming that is a golden bullet?)
gun looks good though and will be good to see it in the metal as it were

Well I would hope we didn't all pay $200 for laser etched signatures. I'm pretty sure they were each personally signed by the Sirs.
well i echo your sentiments, the only reason i asked was the spacing of the sig's looked a bit too perfect if ya know what i mean.
i'm almost certain they're written on, but was just asking for clerification from dak

Glad you enjoyed our Comic Con experience. We had great fun and it was amazing to meet people in person
Just to clear some things up. That's a great picture, but its of the back of the stand, looking at the wrong side of the Golden Gun. The display base has a built in stand where the plaque is intended to be displayed, like the enclosed image. We laid a second plaque down at the back just to show people what it looked like.
All signatures are 100% real and legitimate hand signed and authentic. No laser etching, re-pro or auto-signatures. The signatures are signed directly on the plaques by the actors using black industrial marker pens. Out staff were present and photographs were taken to document the sessions. Why so neat? Well in this case both 'Sirs' are English gentlemen who were educated in a time when handwriting was considered very important. As you might expect their penmanship is of a very high standard. We normally take lots of spare plaques to allow for mistakes and we did not need any for either signing. It was a pleasure to watch and each signature was meticulously done with care an attention. Put most of our chicken scratch to shame I can tell you!
The bullet that comes with the gun is engraved with the '007' legend and then filled in in black. Exactly like the original prop. The 5 'bonus' bullets are the same, but blank. Without engraving. They are an exact match cast directly from the original props. The bullet displayed at Comic Con is not final and is a protoype.
would just like to point out that my daft enquiries aren't me trying to pick holes in any of the FE stuff, personally I think its great that its happening etc, like many other on here.
im just a picky bitch who gets annoyed at little things like that bloody plaque sticking up at the end and niggling points to ponder like 'why wasn't the bullet ready/why didn't they at least mock something up that looked something like the real bullet?'
a 10 min job on a lathe would have saved quite a few people saying 'that bullet isn't right'. and little things like that damn bullet are important, the reason being, in my experience when you have something inaccurate like that, even though it isn't the finished article, people start saying 'well if the bullet isn't right, what else is wrong?'
its annoying, but many people (myself included) will always pick out whats wrong before saying anything positive.
please don't take offence mr FE or start thinking 'jeez, that fwarkin minigeff is picking out problems again'.
just my 2 pennys worth. -{

We don't think you are picky at all... its valuable feedback and keeps us on our toes. There are no daft questions, and we welcome comments from anybody. We would in truth rather know what we are doing wrong than what we are doing right.
We just hope we are able to answer everybody's questions.
The bullets all have to be 100% resin so that they don't cause issues with law enforcement and customs officers. Bullets are a distinctive shape and tend to raise eyebrows on X-Ray's and scanners... especially when you are producing and shipping 1000's of them. Its also a major issue in China, where they are made, which surprisingly has some of the strictest gun control laws in the world. Factory's that flaunt the rules take the risk of becoming more familiar with real bullets than they might like
We do have correct bullets but they had all been sent away for approval, and we did not have anything to show at Comic Con other than an early prototype (which was a cast from an existing incorrect mold for another item). There was not enough time to cast, plate and ship more samples. I wish, it were as simple as just getting a new one turned on a lathe , it would make our life much easier. Anybody who has the expertise and might fancy working with us on projects like this should raise their hand and make contact. Its always handy to make contact with creative people.
Enclosed is an image of the approved bullet, its in the center. The original prop is on the left and a screen cap is on the right. We had great fun matching the original which is apparently a handgun casing with a sawed down rifle bullet tip in it. Note how the black paint used to highlight '007' on the prop has completely rubbed away over time.
We have a great story about visiting a ammunition dealer to consult with an expert and show him the original prop to get his opinion . Certainly made his day and was one of the most surreal experiences we've ever had lining up dozens of different bullets to try and find matches.
The name is Barry by the way.
Thanks to everybody for all the feedback.
Now how did I know that was you Barry? )
Stuff's looking good, are we still on course for a Sept delivery?

Thanks for the Tips guys....
I contacted Zero Halliburton and they say that after looking at the picture its not one of their Cases.
I'll try Samsonite next...
This is the mail I got from Zero....
Thank you for contacting Zero Halliburton.
We checked the photo but found that this is not our case.
Please let me know if you need any other information related to our products.

I also contacted Vanguard who do similar cases and got this from them....
Thank you for your interest in Vanguards line up of cases. My self and the rest of the sales staff looked at the photo you sent and we cannot confirm that it is one of our cases. It does look very similar to our Designer line of lap top cases but the interior is off, as well as the handle. Obviously someone could have used the base of one of our cases and modified it for film use but we wouldn't have any records to that affect. Good luck on you collection. It's very impressive.
