FE did say in advance that they would be pricing their golden guns slightly lower than SD did originally, and they clearly weren't telling porkies.

Always loved the moonraker wrist dart gun.....

Really like those display boxes. Adds a touch of class.

Did SD Studios ever put out print adds for the later props, like the Attach case, Walther PPK with silencer, and Goldeneye mine ?

The first 3 Props were the only ones licenced, so there is not much, a blue flyer with colour pics on and a black and white folded leaflet are all I have ever seen.

I have a flyer advertising a couple of products including the SD studios walther P99 and a C-96 Mauser (Red Grant's weapon of choice). The P99 is shown in a similar walnut box to the Golden Gun and the <auser is on a display plinth. This was issued as part of the advertising bumf that was sent to prospective members of the "SD studios James Bond's Collectors Society" so isn't as swanky as the flyer shown above (I also have 3 differet flyers for the Golden Gun - including a copy of the one above)

is it me going against the grain or am i not alone when i think that SD's masterful creations such as the p99 and the GE pen were a bit of a cop out? :v

By the time of knocking out this stuff the licence had expired, so anything Bond related with and S.D. plaque was a money spinner.

The biggest cop out has got to be the belly button fluff "Radioactive Lint" which looks like it came out of a tumble dryer? but I still have it in my collection ;% S.D. is part of the Bond sickness for many people I guess.

It's weird, I was having a similar conversation with a guy at a recent trade show, and it seems that in this era people want alot of the nostalgic things like this and others its not being produced. now here we are at that age and position that they have "disposable income" and the companies are afraid to produce some of the items. and since I have limited skills at building I am at a disadvantage.

What are you looking for Mr G ?
  • Mister GreeneMister Greene Posts: 224MI6 Agent
well I have the GG on order, the wrist dart gun would be nice as well as the rebreather but I think the one prop that is the top on my list is the garotte watch from FRWL, that is the one that always stands out as one of the coolest props from any of the movies

I would love to get my hands on one of them watches myself :D The other items come up for sale from time to time, S.D. finds them in his machine shop and put them up for sale.
