James Bond Collectibles

Hi,

I'm currently selling some James Bond memorabilia and I'd love some advice!

My Dad was an avid James Bond Collector and I have quite a lot to sell; books, lps, models, corgi cars etc etc.

Some of the highlights are:

Replica of the golden gun by S.D. Studios (number 381/7500)

Thunderball Breather by S.D Studios (number 108/5000)

First Edition Diamonds are Forever
First Edition Dr.No
First Edition On her Majesty's Secret Service
First Edition The Man with the Golden Gun
First Edition The Spy who Loved Me
First Edition Goldfinger
First Edition For your Eyes Only
First Edition Octopussy and the Living Daylights
First Edition Thunderball
First Edition You Only Live Twice
First Edition From Russia with Love

Any advice that you could give me about selling/prices etc. would be really appreciated

Thanks,

Rose

Don't sell the Golden Gun now, you will lose BIG time, the breather should fetch a good price, is it in a case ? if so you should get a very good price, just don't sell the gun ;)

sorry i cant help with the books.

Yeah, now it's NOT a good time to sell the GG, you will get better price in the future.

There's quite big price range with books, price depends on the condition books and dust jackets.
And also if they are first printings of the first editions.

Here's some sample prices picked from eBay:

Diamonds are forever £500 and up
    Dr. No £200-500
On Her Majesty's Secret Service £100-150
The Man With The Golden Gun £60-120
The Spy Who Loved Me £100-200
    Goldfinger £150-300
    For Your Eyes Only £80-150
    Octopussy & TLD £70-110
    Thunderball £150-300
    You Only Live Twice £50-130
    From Russia With Love £180-370

Note that these prices are only from eBay sellers and what i've seen them go for.

You can always take photos of the books and let the big bond audience speak for itself.

Pete, what do ya think how much re-breather would fetch?

To be honest I haven't seen an S.D. Breather for sale in ages, although I bought one direct from S.D. not that long ago, it wasn't open to everyone, I think it could reach more :s

Thanks for all your information guys, I really appreciate it! :)

The books are all in pretty good condition and in their dust jackets!

How come nows not a good time to sell the GG and Breather? The GG is on a plaque, and the breather is in a wooden/glass case; I dont have any documentation for either item which is a shame!

I'll post some photos to see what you think:

I also have LITERALLY hundreds of other items: loads of Corgi cars, a Danbury Mint Gold Aston Martin, posters, pictures etc etc!

Thanks again for all your help :)

looks like your Golden gun could do with re plating, its not a good time to sell S.D. Golden Guns as a new company is releasing one in September, the S.D. Re breather you have is the 1st gen, and in an original case, should fetch Around £1000

There's another company selling their limited editions of the Golden Gun and many Bond fan is waiting for it

    to arrive on september.

That's the main reason, why i don't think it's a good idea to sell the S.D. Studios Golden gun right at this moment.

But as danjaq_0ff stated before, he hasn't seen for ages the Thunderball S.D. breather on the market.

I'd make you an offer of the breather, if i only had enough money at the moment. :)

You will get a good price of it.

Is that Dr. No the 1st impression & 1st printing? If so, in that condition i'd say £400 +

If i were in your position, i'd list every single item and then just ask some advice on pricing the items.

Also doing some homework...i mean following the markets average prices for example on eBay wouldn't be a bad idea.

Sorry, didn't notice that Pete was so damn fast..
