  Also a recent discussion at imfdb.org had some interesting information on the Walther PPK used by Timothy Dalton in LTK.*
  Apparently it was manufactured by Walther during the second world war. If you look at the picture on the LTK page, you will see the eagle engraved on the PPK's slide, the smaller rear sight, the lanyard ring, and the irregular front, indicating that this particular pistol was manufactured during the war. Also unlike the past PPK's used on screen, this pistol has wooden grips instead of plastic.
  
  *Since the film was shot on location in the US and Mexico, all of the prop weapons were furnished by Stembridge Gun Rentals, rather than Bapty's.
