im working as a runner, here in Scotland, and met this Scottish actor pj barnard... id go with him for the next bond after Graig...(if they ever make it that is) i am working on a film, and he has been here the last few days filming i managed to get these photos... i think his acting style is pure bond almost all the bonds rolled into one.

    Ah good old PJ Barnard... Been here a while ago - he didn't go down all that well. Craig gets away with being a bit on the small side for Bond (film Bond at least) but at least he's worked on beefing up - this guy doesn't look at all imposing, capable or Bondonian in any sense. I'm sure he's a good guy, great actor...

    Tell me, are you like the last guy who joined just to promote him and hasn't been seen since, or are you a new member hoping to stick around, make a few friends and share some views on some topics other than PJ Barnard?

    I don't really know who this guy is but the name sounds familiar. Anyway I don't care about him, I want Craig to stick around.

    Quite a few topics on this site. Yet, you've only posted on this one. Colt45 you are either PJ's mum, or PJ Himself... :p:))

    Sorry, but the next Bond cannot be Scottish...it breaks the sequence:

    Scottish, Australian, English, Welsh, Irish, English...

    As every good codebreaker knows, the next Bond actor must be Irish, then Welsh, English again, Australian...and then just to please P J Barnard's mum, Scottish again, although he'll likely be in his 70s at that point. ;)

    Right... here's my view.

    No no no no no no no no no.

    He's trying too hard and the sort Babs Broccoli would hate, too smooth by half and self regarding. He's putting himself in the frame as Bond in his poses and it's too desperate and frankly must hinder his chances at other acting jobs seeing as Bond is a niche area.

    His nose is too long, he looks like a comic figure, like Steve Carroll or Glen Matlock of the Pistols.

    However...

    There is nothing to say that this guy couldn't be an oily villain or a stooge in a Craig Bond film. In fact he'd be perfect in such a role. Or as a comedy secret agent in the Get Smart type movie, or for a set of adverts spoofing the Milk Tray Man. That sounds damning, but real acting work is hard enough to come by, whereas the Bond role? Forget it imo.

    Yep. What Nap said. He's what an ad exec would think Bond would be. "Hey, I've got this guy for the launch of the new Ford Mondeocrapfocuswotsit, he's suave, sophisticated - just like James Bond - just look at him holding two big guns like a pro..."

    Sadly for PJ and his mum, the guy just hasn't got it.

    Thanks secretagent, though I should reiiterate that this guy could get work as a comic Bond type character or oily villain and I don't mean that as a slur, I am sincere. Any work you can get as an actor you don't turn down.

    He'd be perfect for a Zucker Abhrams Zucker Spy Spoof.

    Judging by the amount of posts colt45 has made, I think I'm safe in saying he is either PJ himself or PJ's mum. He/she will be back in another few months with another PJ Barnyard recommendation... See you then -{

    I don't know why you guys are bothering with this guy. When it's obvious That I'M the perfect choice for the Next Bond.Admittledly If I was to wear those combats my Belly would be hanging over my trousers and the action scenes would take longer to film as I do need to stop for a breather when climbing stairs. But for the set pieces when bond has to be red in the face with anger,I'd be perfect as after climbing a set of stairs my face is red already. So I wait for the call from EON. :007)
