Hello all,
I found this site on-line while doing a search for an air pistol that I need to have valued for sale purposes. I have for sale a Walther Luftpistole Modell 53. It comes in the original box that is in excellent shape. The Box corners are all intact with very lightly frayed edges . The wood cover and texture of the box looks good with the Walther logo, Luftpistole LP Cal. 4.5 Modell 53 displayed in blue.
Overall, the gun is in mint condition. The surface is in like new condition; there is zero degradation of the anodized black finish. The handles and sights are in mint condition. The elevation knob ratchets like new and the gun cocks with good spring resistance without any friction or binding.
The box contents:
two foresights
two rear sight blades
a barrel cleaning brush
wooden cocking knob
500-count (a few missing) tin of H & N Diabolo 4.5mm pellets
The only missing item is the Walther target test pamphlet.
The two sets of spare sights, are protected in a cardboard rest located at the bottom of the box; see pictures 2 and 3. The rest still holds the sights tightly. There is no evidence that the sights were ever used or removed. There is one unused target from the gun's era along with several used ones.
I am wondering what the value is and if there is a collector out that is interested in having it.
Thank in advance for your help. Here are some pictures of the gun. If anyone needs higher resolution pictures, email me at aasatellites@gmail.com.
Thank you for your attention.
Regards,
George

Shipment could be a problem...
These were still readily available, but are also getting rare now.
