Help!

Hey guys!

Wouldn't it be great if we could make some kind of website where bond fans from all over the world can donate some money via PayPal to help MGM reduce her debts? With the enormous amount of Bond fans around the globe, the smallest contribution could generate a lot of money I think.

Let me know what you guys think of this!

Cheers!

Hello Anonymous, and welcome to AJB! {[]

Unfortunately, we've no evidence yet that the decision makers at MGM can be trusted with new money...it takes a LOT of bad decisions to get into a financial jam such as the one in which they're currently mired. If donated money will be used to finance Hot Tub Time Machine II...no thanks! :s

Yes I agree, but there must be something we can do to help..
Can't we use this topic to initiate something, a little bit of brainstorming maybe so that the outcome will actually benefit MGM?

By the way, coming back to the previous idea of a donating website, the collected money should only benefit MGM to benefit Bond, not so that MGM will use the money to finance other movies of course.

    Let me know!

    Cheers

I'm not sure this is the best Bond fansite. ;) That would be mi6.co.uk. You can post on a thread and they'll be a reply within 20 minutes. Mind you, it is also a bit highly strung. Commander Bond is also a good website but hard to register with I found. Things are very sleepy on ajb these days. :(

mi6.co.uk the best bond fan site?

yeah i suppose you got a point there, if you're a 5 year old, behave like a spoilt brat or think that you've got some hope in hell of writing the next bond script, even if you are still in high school and no one has ever heard of you or gives a crap.

just about every thread decends into some personal bickering contest, the general population are kids who can't answer any detailled question because it hasn't been featured in the JBCC mag yet, and then everyone decides to talk about Star Trek instead, or insist that gemma farterton is the fittest bond girl ever, and you're a smelly head bum face is you don't agree.

then someone posts U COMPLEET NOOB, LYK YUR SOO GAAAY.

all this lead to me turning my back on the place and coming over here where people actually know the subject of bond and are genuinely helpful and interested.

i think age has alot to do with it.

    rant over.

For me this is the best Bond forum. Easy to navigate and easy for my iPhone. Most people seem fine although I did experience some snobbery and grumpiness from one of the henchmen/admin guys when I first joined. No big deal. As for handing money over to MGM you must be joking. We already have a situation similar in England with our useless banks!

This is a very good site in general. Most people here really do know what they are talking about. It can get a little pissy sometimes.....but that's what happens when people are so passionate about something. I also appreciate the restraint of the moderator.....knows when to let people go and knows when to step in.

I think MGM already has a system for raising money..commonly referred to as 'selling tickets', but obviously they haven't worked out the kinks of this very complicated process.

I encourage everyone to give to NP's CASH charity...at least we know some of the funds will go towards Bond.

Ain't that the truth :)) Hi, darenhat! Haven't seen you in a while :D

I agree about this being by far a better place than MI6 or CBn. Both places have a definite, how can I say, "editorial" line. And the amount of kids on MI6 is scary. I always found this community much better-behaved, more competent and most tolerant in most cases. I agree age has a big part in this. Anyway, welcome and have fun. As far as donating money to MGM

:)) this is how I feel, too. Banks worldwide are like that if it's any consolation :)) Much better to donate to NP's charity, that is the real deal! :))
