I know this movie is hated by most here....I understand why, but I still like it for one major reason...Sean Connery!

Something the younger Bond fans may not know....when this movie came out about the same time as Octopussy...the press was Bond gaga! Remember there was no internet, etc so is was great to have Bond in the spoghtlight.

I remember going to see both movies several times and both were fantastic! I have to admit that I enjoyed NSNA and still do. Not wanting to start or re-kindle the debate but consider the following: Kim Bassinger.....Claus .....Bernie as Felix and of course Sean Connery! even at 52 or 53 he looked awesome and having him again in the role was (is) a great treat.

I like it for mainly one reason. Diamonds are Forever. Connery slept-walked through that film and looked like he had gone to seed and aged twelve years or more since YOLT. At least in NSNA you had the underlying Thunderball plot and he looked in better shape. I liked the locations/villian/women - Rowen Atkinson's small part. Best of all you can see my childhood house as the missiles track across the sea and Cornwall. How cool was that for me as a lad at the cinema???!!! :D

I don't think he slept walked through that film at all. I think he just played Bond strictly for laughs and he did a great job of it. He seemed totally un-interested in YOLT though.

In Never Say Never Again, it pretty much is his DAF preformance all over again.

I disagree, much more serious in NSNA

Where exactly in NSNA was he "much more serious" ? He was throwing a lot of one liners around like DAF and rarely took things seriously.
