IMO, I think it was a mistake to have John Glen to have directed all five 1980's Bond films. There were alot of hot names in action during the 80's and it's a shame EON didn't take advantage of any of them just to save a buck. Here's who I would have picked for each film:
For Your Eyes Only- Richard Donner
Octopussy- John Landis
A View To a Kill- Brian De Palma
The Living Daylights- Robert Zemeckis
Licence To Kill- Andrey Konchalovskiy

Just because I have complaints dosen't mean I am not a fan. I think the 60's films were the high point of the series. Anyway I don't want to go off topic anymore but those are my feelings.
Ah, but that's often the way it is. Like football fans bitching because their team has missed out on the Champions League yet again, or England hasn't won the Cup.
Intrigued by the choices. Surely Blake Edwards for Octopussy though! With spare footage of Peter Sellers doing a Clouseau turn added in.
EDIT: Oh, maybe not, just seen on Last Film Seen... that you're not a fan...
Roger Moore 1927-2017
1. Dalton 2. Moore 3. Connery 4. Lazenby 5. Craig 6. Brosnan
John Glen did great. He made Bond return to the gritty realism. Especially with Dalton. It hink it is as good as it gets, and it is bloody good
